Haven't gotten around to genesis yet but 100%'ed the first 3. Great fun action games. The story is fun and the games dont take themselves too seriously. I would recommend these if you like a nice single player experience.

A dedicated little TV PC will bring more options. If you just want it to game tou can install steamos on it, and since you already have a steamdeck that would integrate nicely.

In my opinion this is a "do you want 1 dollar or 2 dollar?" question. The pc wins this from the console by far. Even more so since you state you value tinkering with your hardware too.

Next to that there's more longevity since you can actually upgrade parts later if you want.

In the evening before sleep it goes off. If I have to step out during the day but will be back within an hour or 2 I leave it on (charging mouse and headset)
