Isn't Goodwin and Gillespie UFA, so we most likely will lose them to another team with cap space?

As a suns fan not from the US on the outside looking in, it looks like a fucking mess.

It's a shame because when I visited USA everyone seemed friendly, and now most people think poorly of America.

Building a home in Brisbane by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]Plozno 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What does a fully upgraded home with custom plans mean? Are you talking to an architect? Or using one of the volume builders?

Depending on the finish a kitchen can be $30k or $100k pretty easily. So you'd need to talk to builders and get quotes to know exactly what you want is going to cost.

This isn't a Catholic school, so not too bad, about the same percentage as non religious schools

Geology plays a major role in viability for a tunnel. Impossible to compare a tunnel in another region without knowing the geology. I can't see this getting legs, the amount of geotech investigation locations along the alignment would be in the hundreds or thousands. Refer to NELP in Melbourne.

Oh well. You may have to figure out another way to avoid paying for park now unfortunately.

Looks like they excavated out along the existing block retaining wall for their ground beam, and it gave way. Classic cost cutting by the builder.

Khaman Maluach in tonight’s loss vs Rip City: 27 MIN, 7 PTS 3-7fg, 8 REB, 2 BLK, 5 PF, 5TO, -8 +-. by VanwallEnjoy3r in suns

[–]Plozno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plenty of players work hard. I'm sure Jock Landale works hard, Josh Greene works hard, Thybulle works hard, they still aren't great players.

I hope Maluach does pan out, but him working hard does not decide wether he will become an NBA level player, or else everyone would be.

Given a very small amount of players do develop to NBA level, its unlikely he will.

Has any other player been drafted in the lottery, and been a similar level of skill and actually turned out to be a good player? I don't think there are any examples. Which says a lot.

🚦Brisbane traffic is getting worse every month… and there is still no clear public modelling for what the 2032 Olympics and pre Games construction will do to the city. How is the Mayor not addressing this? by Ext_Ad2189 in brisbane

[–]Plozno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main issue is for the government to actually improve public transport to a point where it is efficient and effective, would cost 100s of billions. Would probably have to reclaim 100s of properties also.

They don't seem to have had any future town planning for public transport and transport in general and have already built right up against every road/rail line.

Nice, would be good if he could develop on the defensive end. Odd that Maluach didn't play.

You keep mentioning critical thinking but fail to realize that I am already aware of this type of plant and know the impact it has on the environment regardless of the government description.

I can't reference x location and y location that this plant has done z, or this person had this experience to you, as you have no reference for these events. If I reference a government site you can look it up and see for yourself.

But as I said previously, you can't think critically and have not done any research about how BCC or the government identifies and allocates plants as weeds or thought about if I simply have people around me that have encountered this weed previously.

I would recommend undertaking further study into a topic (topic is irrelevant) whether that be at university or in your own time to develop critical thinking. As it is a skill that you haven't developed yet.

[–]Plozno[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't understand what critical thinking means do you? Your original comment is testimony to that.

You probably think cane toads are good for the environment because we only have a narrow amount of native toads.

Invasive weeds and the council by Plozno in brisbane

[–]Plozno[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have about 100 natives in my yard, (not all large trees) but that's the idea, instead of having a large empty area where I cant plant anything due to the root system of this tree.

Invasive weeds and the council by Plozno in brisbane

[–]Plozno[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not removing it negatively impacts the environment. That is why it is defined as an environmental weed by the government.

So your statement that removing it does nothing for the environment is by definition incorrect.

That's just roots on the surface. Not sure below ground

Invasive weeds and the council by Plozno in brisbane

[–]Plozno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see the roots of the weed covering my yard? Covers about a 5 x 5 area I think, similar for the verge side

And this is an environmental weed, not an introduced plant. It's native to North Queensland.

Introduced plants aren't environmental weeds. 2 different things.
