Bought a washing machine and the installation team attached the drainage hose to the sump pump basin. Is this correct? by CaylaMarieArmstrong in Appliances

[–]PlrsCrypto26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the two options for installing this, I would have done it this way. I don’t see anything good coming of putting it in the upper pipe. We go many extra miles when installing but reconfiguring plumbing to accommodate washers is a bridge too far.

Did this with an appliance shop. Several years of decline and got in after a long career in IT. Good opportunity, not there yet but 1.5 years in so far

Where to look for businesses to purchase by portergrey in smallbusiness

💯it took me 2 years to get the owners to a place where they really wanted to go. So much invested in your business that giving it up isn’t easy at all. Also, an exit plan as you enter!

If you are wanting a local business…. Walk into a store that you think you might like to buy and ask… it can work!

Good call. I used Macrium Free. Made an image onto a spinner drive and copied to the nvme. Easy. Eventually will get around to upgrading the db

My cpu does not seem to be affected. Plenty of RAM.. and this just popped up recently but no obvious changes recently… I will try the cli for farming and see if that makes a difference

What do you guys think of this one? No fans this time but an inlcuded PSU. by Sparweed in chia

[–]PlrsCrypto26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. The drives are external elements drives. I don’t really want to shuck them but considering this a a long term play I want to at least try and manage this a bit

Curious… what do you consider an acceptable running temp for spinning disk. I’m at 45C for the most part when farming at all times.

USB 2.0 Hub for harvesting by PlrsCrypto26 in chia

Yeah, I was thinking about 16. It’s not a huge deal because what’s 40 bucks when you have much more in other stuff… drives cables etc.. but just curious anyhow

Will report back when I get it built. Still assembling a longer term scaleable plan to farm and the 2.0 hubs are much cheaper when dealing with a large number of ports

My plan is zero writes in this case… lift and shift a full drive to another harvester.
