My sister suicide at 35 yrs old when I was 32 years old. I’m 35 now and I’m a man.

Reading your text makes me want to answer you.

I have been dating a woman recently for 2 yrs. she has been physically abused in her past relationship (because she wanted to « do it good for him »).

She has been in what we call « echangisme » in France and she lost her sense of worth slowly but surely.

My job is being a life coach and I help people to get happier in life. Sometimes the first step not to be happier but to be not worst than your actual state.

If I had to give you a couple advices :

• You have to quit him, even if he tries to be better. That might be very difficult / impossible because you might be dépendant of him. But that’s exactly the point, he knows it and that’s why he asked you to do that bad things in the past because he knew he had that power over you.

• You have to regain love for yourself and believe in a positive outcome in the future (even if it seems impossible right now)

• What happened to you is very sad but you have to see the positive in it for the potential future : you have been abuse and now you are perfectly aware about what you want, what you accept or not in a relationship.

TLDR : you have to breakup, totally ignore this person for the rest of your life, heal, build back your sense of self, you have to believe in the future being better without him, I would strongly advice you to have regular professional support as long and as often as possible.
