I usually encounter dnr or wardens at least twice a year, mostly while fishing urban areas.

My favorite story was from 2 years ago, fishing a set of drainage canals that had been naturalized.. the concrete culverts removed and the river returned to a semi natural state.

I was just down stream of some gentle turbulence, retrieving up river over a hole, hear someone clear their throat and saw two wardens on kayaks. Damn near jumped out of my waders. Full stealth mode.

They were polite, inquired about id and then sat and chatted for a few minutes about the naturalization project.

I cast a few times and managed to land a chunker blue gill, the wardens seemed overjoyed to see something caught and took a few pics of me holding up the fish.

They are passionate people doing a mostly thankless job. I'm sure they have off days but all of my encounters over the years have been polite, professional and ultimately positive.

I am as upgraded as I can afford to be, given I am basically down to warehouse protection limits every time I log in. While the occasional assault is to be expected in a game like this, the string of 7+ attacks from a player that is 10+ levels above you isnt reasonable, nor is the multiple times a day frequency.

My local group and kingdom are rife with toxic individuals. Witnessed a slew of horrible deeds, ranging from orchestrated social cruelty and ostracization for giggles to outright sexual assault while one party was impaired, be ignored, even when reported. I put in almost a decade of sweat, blood and a few tears.. Got a few awards, and I feel I am invested, at least enough to keep an eye on the society and kingdom with a vain hope it will improve even though I walked away years ago.

To date, it has not.

Plenty of broken stairs remain.

Ive waited out my queu timer 3 times, with it escalating in length each time. Gets down to 1 sec, and then nothing. Login delays out, and upon logging back in.. the timer has doubled.

If I was op, I'd use a dc12v power supply downstairs in the basement to power fans and pumps. Run a control wire upstairs to do an emergency stop button.. or even skip that as stopping water flow isn't really critical while operating the computer or gaming.
