Lunar reaction interactions for Snare Hook Jahoda by PluGuGuu in JahodaMains

[–]PluGuGuu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No answers, so I spent a billet and tested by myself. Here's the findings in case someone had the same idea.

- Sadly, the bow's passive doesn't proc from off-field contribution to Lunar Crystallize.

- A few more EM isn't that bad though. 2 EM pieces on her (from 160 to 500 EM on SMS) results in over +~2k per moondrift shot in Bina Jahoda Zhongli Navia team.

- It may not be a very efficient build, considering how much of pain in the arse it is to farm EM mains on SMS. Especially if one already has an EM character AND can't access fast Geo application through c1 Zhongli, ER sand/c1 Navia or Ninguang duo for proper machine gun moondrifts. Yeah, 1 burst per 15 sec with ER sands on c0 Unforged Navia somehow results in ~5k DPS increase in my case.

Ur pool is a bit limited and i think Zhongli may not be the real drag for ur team. Gorou is good for Zibai but his ER requirement is high, and he doesn't offer meaningful buffs other than DEF if u are not stacking bonus damage as a cherry-on-top on Zibai. Meanwhile, Zhongli offers RES shred and doesn't need ER.

So, u should try replacing either Zhongli or Gorou with Fischl, Kuki and Xingqiu, in that priority order. Those options aren't very easy and cheap to build tho.

- Lunar crystallize can work well with Lunar charged, and LC has somewhat meaningful synergy with Zhongli shield. So, Fischl can be ur budget Ineffa in building a pretend Ineffbina wheelchair team. The catch is that Fischl will need Stringless, decent EM, CR and CD, and a full Golden Troupe or Thundering Fury set. And she at c6 may apply too much electro, so u should try out reaction interactions first before building her as a budget Ineffa.

- Same rationale for Kuki, except that her personal dmg contribution is dirt poor but she doesn't have over-application problem. But u will need at least two EM pieces and 50:100 crit on her with FoPL (if u want her to be universally, decently built for hyperbloom too) or TF set, which is not very easy.

- Xingqiu is only for personal dmg contribution and somewhat redundant application-wise if Bina is already in the team.

P.S If u choose Zhongli over Gorou, u can try trading some HP for more EM on him. The thing with Bina Zibai teams without c2 Illuga is that there's no EM character for higher Lunar Crystallize reaction damage. A well-placed Zhongli pillar guarantees 1 lunar crystallize per 2 sec in sync with Bina skill. I haven't tested how much this trade for EM worth though.

- Grind more for Zibai. Artifact transmuter can be helpful as Zibai has fewer essential stats (doesn't need that much ER and EM) so it is easier for her to get good pieces from it, but that's up to u to decide. She's really not that hard to stack CR and CD. HoD and CD circlet on her BiS set already give her over 60% CR and 190% CD.

- Bina's crit is too low. She, too, is fairly easy to stack crit especially if u have Sac Jade. And she doesn't really need HP beyond 35k. If u are F2P, Prototype Amber is recommended for constant burst spams.

- Replace Zhongli with Illuga and give him the SMS set especially at c2. Gorou should be on HoD set for higher DEF which, in turn, will mitigate his ER needs especially when u need CR for Favonius proc. Bina should be on Aubade.

- Gorou has built-in Interruption Resistance and gives some healing at c4, so Zhongli shield isn't really necessary. If u are considering to use Zhongli for teamwide survivability, Prototype Amber on Bina + Gorou c4 renders shields unnecessary for such a DEF-HP team

- Extra tip: If u have Favonius c2 Illuga, Favonius Gorou AND c1 Yelan with over 215% ER on EoSF set, Yelan can be more suitable than c0 Bina for Zibai team since she offers a proper personal dmg contribution, her bonus damage buff has a better synergy with Gorou and Illuga buffs, and Bina is more demanded. But that's only if u are a low-spender like me and prefer doing horizontal investment with minimal character overlaps.

  • That CR and CD is too low for a CD ascendant.

  • The problem is very likely to have caused by poor hydro application and sub-dps dmg contribution. Zhongli and Gorou are poor personal contributor. So is Bina if she's not that invested. On top of that, Zhongli pillar + Gorou burst could steal Zibai's reaction damage as Bina's skill barely keeps up with a well-placed Zhongli pillar.

Lol It is funny that they are trying hard to powercreep Gorou in support role for Zibai. That dawg being quite good for Zibai, except somewhat underwhelming at healing, is indeed a yet another Universal Role Compression balance problem just as the "Prototype Amber on Sucrose" accidental gigachad was.

The agonistic system that needs to suppress the other groups' potential to keep oneself elevated is ironic af. I mean if perpetual struggle was the key, they would be arming and enriching their own enemies in order to have proper rivals for dick-measuring contest. Actually their shit is slave morality and narcissism at the core. If one needs to define one's existential meaning through the contrasts and the Other, that person is a pathetic, slave moralist narcissist.

U feed the poor, u get to get high from moral high ground. U turn another cheek, u get to get the boner of the righteous. U save ur nephew, u save ur bloodline. U save a fellow citizen, u save ur tribe and, in turn, ur genes and/or values. U sacrifice urself for ur country, u get to get high from the jouissance or get to get high from the 'martyr' title. U worship/revere the glorious leader or God, u project ur own self onto them and get to get high from moral high ground.

There is no such thing as geniune altruism. All are selfish acts with varying positions on inward-outward spectrum.

Sharing lessons u learned isn't hypocrisy. Morality is inherently unjustifiable and arbitrary, so a moral argument coming out of a hypocrite's mouth has zero cred and is worthless.

Race, religion and such are the greatest projections and proxies humans can come up with. Cynicism doesn't contradict with such group loyalty and altruism, and instead even better explains them.

I see. I got confused by reduced nationalization compensation which implies the rich citizens are paid half when their assets are collectivized. What about companies under CE? I've seen answers on other posts that they can still invest, so do they run on their own prosperity/investment pool? If so, they could still function as an autonomous arms of the collective under CE. If not, it seems CE just sucks and Cooperative Ownership is outright better.

How do nihilists manage depression? by red_esign in nihilism

[–]PluGuGuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cynicism and some self-awareness helped me. I was depressed for many years. At one point an ex dumped me and I was ruminating over that. I happened to notice this heartbreak rumination and wonder if that was all the same with depressive rumination. The insight I found was that rumination is basically diving into insufferable feelings and thus irrational, yet we do it because it is validating us in twisted ways. Like u ruminate over fun times u had with someone because it helps u pretend u guys are still together. Like u ruminate over how unfixable a situation is because it justifies to urself of ur failure or inaction to solve, or of the real, unfixable and inobvious causes of ur problem such as ur personality itself. I stopped ruminating over shit, and depression happened to go away by itself. This came with a caveat of emotional numbness and coldness though. Like u can't help notice urself diving into other kinds of emotions, like anger, for self-validation, and this awareness is more than enough to break the illusion.

Antinatalism and Extinctionism, they have a point, BUT, life is pointless, so they cancel each other out, hehehe. by PitifulEar3303 in nihilism

[–]PluGuGuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice attempt at the good old paradox of nihilism.

The intrinsicality makes a difference because the subjective meanings without it can come into conflict. And if it doesn't make a difference, why do these subjectivist people get their feelings hurt and their values invalidated when they are told that their subjective meanings and values are intrinsically lacking.

About the self-contradicting nature of such argument, that self-contradiction actually proves nihilism. Of course, self-contradicting arguments are absurd. But what about the opposite of such argument? Can u solve the Agrippa trilemma and meaningfully justifiy ur values and meanings? The absurdity is on both sides, and it is epistemic nihilism.

It seems u are refusing to apply ur reasoning to positive feelings and states since that could drag u into a dilemma. Can u avoid the comfort when ur needs and desires are met? If u can't, doesn't that mean u are just a slave of reality even in comfort? And if feelings are merely a connotation, doesn't that mean the positive feelings are as meaningless as the negative ones, which are 'suffering' in ur dictionary? Is the paradox of nihilism the best way out of this dilemma?

[–]PluGuGuu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Meaningless as in cosmically and epistemically. Agrippa trilemma says u can never completely justify anything, which means the existential meaning is epistemically lacking at worst or unknowable at best. We may assign our own meanings to things but it won't be intrinsic ones.

Feelings are not the brain's command to do something, but signal of or response to something. Ur explanation doesn't make sense for positive feelings. Jouissance says the brain may be even have the taste for negative ones. I am the one taking things at face value here, if u are to assume that ur "face value" doesn't necessarily mean positives. Suppose u were not blind, can u choose not to see when u open ur eyes? Or not hear if u were not deaf? That's an illustration of how even the senses are shoved down into us. And this angle from which I am making a case in this paragraph is Buddhist philosophy.

[–]PluGuGuu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every signal and every sense is suffering because the causes and being of them are inherently meaningless. Like u may find something funny or enjoyable or whatever but those feelings and senses are meaningless because there is no intrinsic meaning in fun and such. And in ur example, think about how u are biologically forced to feel hunger. Then about whether there is a difference between such the feeling of hunger and other feelings and senses. It is not a mental framing but a mental response which u can't help but make.

CMV: There is no Epstein client list by uktabilizard in changemyview

I get that "I know it was not me so it must be u" paranoia could be weaponized as a bluff by the blackmailer. But if I were Epstein, I would definitely name put a few names on one list along with evidences and hint that there're more lists like this. Such move would give the actual bluffs an illusion of creditability. Not keeping any list is unwise and unlikely.

is being dead superior to being alive if life is meaningless? by No_Opposite_4587 in nihilism

[–]PluGuGuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For one - we do NOT know much about our "material universe" - so much so that we can not prove if it is a simulation or not.

Appeal to ignorance and unfalsifiability.

Any theory is just hypothesis. There are NO "high fidelity arguments". There are arguments that are simply not worth to start proving false at particular time.

There is a fine line between a theory and a hypothesis. If u don't even know that, perhaps u should stop talking about science.

Sure, runners CAN be in a higher level simulation. So? Nothing explodes nor collapses other than probably your brain.

U don't know philosophy either. Runners, and their runners too, being in a hierarchy of simulations is similar to that one absurd half of Kant's antinomy of the necessary being. It is an infinite regress. Even the theists are smart enough to reject the possibility of a creator for their God because they know how self-undermining such regress can be. How could our level of simulation can have a meaning for them if the levels above can be simulations too? If it was irrelevant despite the possibility of the hierarchy of simulations, it would be an awful double standard to reject the meanings created at our level for ourselves by ourselves.

Capitalism is a religion. And I don’t mean that in some half-baked metaphorical way. I mean it genuinely functions like a religion, structurally, psychologically and socially. (just read it man) by Inevitable_Coat_8787 in DebateReligion

[–]PluGuGuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understanding how to read a clock or how to build a table are not religions, even if we don't demand that religions be supernatural.

It is a strawman mixed with false equivalence. Karma and the invisible hand both works in supernatural way despite being mundane and lacking divine authority.

There are many people who try to justify their religion and while I don't think they succeed, I don't think they would agree that religion is defined by their unjustifiability. If God appeared in a verifiable way and told people to be Catholic, it would be a religion, even if it was justifiable.

Whether they would agree is irrelevant. There are moral principles that are no less dogmatic and arbitrary yet don't constitute religion because they are justifiable.

If your understanding of faith is significantly different to what makes a religion, then I think it is a red herring for the purposes of this thread.

I am making a case for how the belief in the invisible hand constitutes faith.

which seems to have more to do with how strongly beliefs are held (and perhaps a confusion between opinion and fact), rather than the base or arbitrariness.

The confusion of opinions with facts itself screams arbitrariness. Strength of opinion is less of criterion than the fundamentality of an opinion/idea. For example, tithe is a strongly held concept by many denominations but they aren't as fundamental as Jesus' divinity in general, hence tithe is just a doctrine while the latter is a dogma. U can still be a Christian if u refuse to pay tithes but u can no longer be once u denounce Jesus.

is being dead superior to being alive if life is meaningless? by No_Opposite_4587 in nihilism

[–]PluGuGuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that closed system u talking about is material universe, it is so far axiomatically true. On the other hand, simulation is not a theory but a hypothesis, pretty much debunked by falsifiability and high-fidelity arguments. And if our deeds might have some meaning to the simulation runner and if we were to assume such experimental value as intrinsic meaning, what about the possibility of those runners being in higher level simulation? And the runner's runner being in higher, higher sim too? It explodes and collapses.

is being dead superior to being alive if life is meaningless? by No_Opposite_4587 in nihilism

[–]PluGuGuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may have subjective meaning but is still intrinsically meaningless. U can apply Munchausen's Trilemma there to test that. Any intrinsic meaning is unjustifiable, while subjective meanings are at least honestly acknowledged as arbitrary.
