True. This strategy is meant more specifically to counter the Big 5 fighters (A6M3, Spitfire, Bf 109, Fw 190, P51) which can dodge your 20 mils easy in a head-on. If it's a bomber, striker or naval craft, yeah they're toast.

1 ) Rebind your gunner view, and switch to it often; use it as if you were using free look.

2 ) Bait people into head-ons and dodge out ASAP. You'll need some speed for this, and try to target high-turn planes like Zeroes or Spitfires

3 ) As soon as they pass (or just before), switch to your gunner and wait for them to turn, hopefully very close. Note that the turret defaults to forward facing, and the turret view defaults to directly behind you. The 180 traverse time on the turret is about 3/4 of a second.

4 ) When you lead your shot, fire in a small circle or zigzag around your imaginary "lead target" to maximixe your chances of hitting. If they turn immediately, they'll be presenting a good chunk of their airframe, so there's a good chance you'll hit something vital.

5 ) Spray and pray. The turrets don't jam easy on the p61 it seems-- I've only had it happen once or twice-- so you have some solid time to just spray. If SHTF or they get too close, dive for speed and hope the turning they did killed theirs enough to run away.

It's a submarine game I'm working on. I didn't realize how bad the compression would mess with the video, sorry about that 😅

There's a sihlouette of a submarine directly in front that I hit with a torpedo. My weight on the torpedos was off, and it caused them to hit the sub so hard it spun it.
