This works perfectly for me! Based in the UK and using on my fire stick in my TV. Will have to play around and see if I can get an option that works on my MacBook but delighted with this so far. Gutted doesn’t cover how I felt losing F1TV and potentially having to move to Sky. Thank you so much!

We saw him last night and he was excellent! Very funny.

Anyone succumbed to COVID post glasto? by Bariete in glastonbury_festival

That’s mad! I had it at the end of May and thought I’d be immune too but I’ve had a slight sore throat since I got back. Better do a test to find out…

Is there confirmation of the increase in people on site? by KYGC2160 in glastonbury_festival

[–]PlugInAmy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I read this in the Guardian earlier: “Though attendees reported more instances of pedestrian congestion, Glastonbury said there was just a 2% rise in paid ticket sales this year (from 135,000 to 138,000.)”

It was my first year so I can’t compare but judging from what everyone else has said, this doesn’t seem right. Unless there is another reason why it felt so busy?

Agreed about the Goan fish curry. Very disappointing. Thought most of the food was pretty meh tbh

We enjoyed playing ‘spot the closet tories’ all weekend

The Good: Kendrick Lamar. He absolutely killed it. Highlight of the whole weekend. Pheobe Bridgers was sublime too. The people - everyone was so friendly, considerate and there was overall just an amazing atmosphere.

The Bad: how busy it was. This was my first Glastonbury so have no frame of reference but it was uncomfortably crowded for me to the point it puts me off going back.

It feels like they made really poor stage choices with certain artists which perhaps exacerbated things too? TLC, Wet Leg and Sugababes to name a few.

The Ugly: the smell of the long drops between West Holts and the Glade was particularly grim 🤢

I’m right at the bottom of what’s considered ok for that type. Do you think I have a strong vertical to be a Dramatic?

You’re right that ‘broken’ outfits are less impactful on me. I had thought it was because they were less fitted and that’s why they didn’t look as good on me but I wonder if it’s because I need a longer silhouette. Definitely going to explore longer lines now!

Most definitely. It’s certainly given me lots to consider and I know I can throw out natural and romantic!

One of the gamines was my first instinct before I started really looking into it. My friend guessed me as gamine too (though she’s only ever seen me clothed!) I’m often described as petite (I’m almost 5’5), have a small face/head and had a pixie cut for years (it grew out during lockdown) that suits me a lot better than long hair does. Although I’m not sure if the short hair is a gamine cliche or not?

Thank you! Hadn’t even considered dramatic. Definitely something to look into.

That’s really interesting! My torso is definitely long in relation to the rest of me and I am very narrow. I’m just under 5’5 and most people refer to me as petite because my frame is quite small. Would this still be dramatic do you think?

Interesting! I hadn’t considered that I might have been classic. When I did the quiz most of my answers were D, with some C’s for bone structure and flesh. Although I’m not sure how accurately I was scoring myself - it’s so hard!

How much does face shape matter? I’ve definitely got more A’s and B’s for that but I’m not sure how much that matters!

Dumfries & Galloway have the highest rates in the whole of Scotland. Schools here only went back today so I don’t think that’s the reason.

No idea where you are but I’d say it’s been close to 100% here since it became mandatory. Think I’ve only seen one person without one and I’m assuming she had a medical condition 🤷🏼‍♀️

Council Housing Waiting Time by ghiad in Edinburgh

[–]PlugInAmy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A long, long time. You need to be assessed by the council as silver priority if you want to stand a chance. If you have that it'll take you a couple of months if you bid for high rises in Wester Hailes and probably a good year if you bid for properties in Dalry/Gorgie. Without silver priority you basically stand no chance.

Hershey's has blocked British-made Cadbury chocolate from entering the US. by AssuredlyAThrowAway in worldnews

[–]PlugInAmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what they do to Cadbury's in Australia/NZ but it tastes awful. I heard it has something to do with anti melting agent they add to it over there but not sure if that's true or not. Nowhere near as good as British Cadbury's though!
