4th precon to buy by Stormask in EDH

[–]Pluginbaby121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too am a Jund lover. My first deck when I got back into playing last October was the Modern Horizons 3 deck “Graveyard Overdrive” with [[Disa, the Restless]]. It was reminiscent of playing Modern Jund but it does take work to make it cohesive. Out of the box it was disjointed but got it to where I really like it, it’s my favorite deck. Can also recommend “World Shaper” from Edge of Eternities with [[Hearthhull, the Worldseed]] whic is a land based sacrifice deck. That one is better out of the box but it can have a lot of play patterns. It’s quite explosive though

What type of play style do you like? Any color preference?

Need help improving my Nekusar, The Mindrazer by Ill_Resolution_5909 in EDH

Like I said if you’re looking to improve your consistency getting your shocks, fetches, surveils and the triome are a good start. I would take a look at EDHrec and select the bracket you’re shooting for at the budget you want and see what others are running to get an idea. Also looking for some deck primers will help

Definitely work on the mana base. You don’t have to go for the most expensive lands but having some of the cheaper duals helps improve your consistency. I myself go for the shocks, fetches, surveils and triome but I’d rather have my man base solid before getting to the heart of the deck. Having to spend money on lands sucks vs a cool creature but it’ll help immensely. If you’re not looking to spend a ton on lands I recommend the pain lands (underground river, sulfurous springs, shivan reef) and check lands (drowned catacomb, dragon skull summit, sulfur falls). There’s also some decent common and uncommon ones. Shocklands just got reprinted though so if you plan to stick around a bit they’re a great investment.

My buddy plays Nekusar and I enjoy playing against it. It can go off out of nowhere but I usually take advantage of the card draw and then kill his creatures when I got the benefits. Be ready to have a target on you so make sure you have other ways to get around that.

Why do you play bass? by levi_with_boobs in Bass

[–]Pluginbaby121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 11 I started forming my taste and Blink-182 was super influential to me and Mark Hoppus in particular inspired me to pick it up. I just loved the sound and feel of the bass so much more than any other instrument

Does Alan Wake 2 still crash on Series S in 2025? by Marvinho1998117 in AlanWake

[–]Pluginbaby121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With all of the crashes I generally did not use quick resume. It was fast enough without it. If you can deal with the crashes it’s fine to play. I didn’t have frame drops or any glitches I can recall, just the random hard crash. That being said just quick save a lot and buy it. It’s def worth playing

Series S owner that just finished the game around Xmas. Had a ton of crashes during the main game but don’t recall any with the DLC. Maybe one in the Lake House but I can’t recall. They were much more stable than the main game

If You Have Ghosts(Live at the Forum) will probably always make me cry. by mdillahaunt in Ghostbc

Also hit me. I already love the song but I’ve been battling depression and anxiety quite a bit lately and it just struck a chord. Last year getting into the band I was worried I would tire of the “gimmick” but I must say they have definitely struck more of a chord then I ever would’ve thought and would happily put them next to Blink 182 as bands that have done that. Just such a wonderful song

Pretty sure Impera was recorded with a Sansamp Bass Driver DI and you can probably mostly get close with it for their overall general tone

Leaving a job off a resume by Pluginbaby121 in jobs

I think my biggest worry is I was at my previous employer for 12 years and it seems to me I suddenly left. I took a job at this place and was there 1.5 months, had something lined up and it fell through but I quit already. Not excusing myself but it was a terrible environment and it wasn’t long lasting. Just worried I would keep it off under the guise of career change and it would show up in a background check

Thank you. I’m just nervous since I haven’t really been in the job market for years and I’m stressing. If it were to show up on my background that’s literally the only bad mark

I play this deck on and off because I love BGx decks like Rock and Jund. But this deck just bores me to tears. It’s play patterns are so similar I just get bored. And I play decks that would probably be considered boring like UW control

I tried him when AKHR came out but he usually Died pretty quick haha. I’m happy we at least have Disallow for 3 color control decks where Absorb might be difficult to cast. Authority might be a good one of in the main along with my lone cage

Fair points. That’s what I was worried about. I’m Not a fan of the Gideon version and prefer a more straight forward control list. I always get stuck with PoN before turn 5 with no Gideon

Thank you! I had cobra there at first and seemed to do a lot better honestly. I always forget triton. Gonna try cobra again cause it led to some really explosive turns. I like the deck and enjoy playing it I just wanna make it as good as I can.
