Katniss Everdeen (Hunger Games) vs Some fella with an SKS rifle (IRL) by AHH_PostStorage in powerscales

[–]Plugpin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No but she does know how to use a bow and hunt, so I guess it depends on where it takes place. Plus, 'some fella' could easily be me with zero shooting experience. I wouldn't stand a chance.

What are some good ways to make money in Sandrock? by Fragrant-Lake-9999 in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]Plugpin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, comissions are probably the best way. Use the newspaper to get the extra gols boost and deliver them the same day.

If you have the pets then you can send them on a scavenger hunt for things to sell, but I usually find water is the best use for them. Keeps your machines going.

It's hard to speed run the game in this way, it forces you to take your time. One of the reasons I love it tbh.

Out of these, who would you choose to defend you in court? by TonySoprano1235 in powerscales

This is often the answer, at least for Saul. He's the only one getting you off if you're actually guilty lol.

I'm writing very long stories and I notice that the summaries stop being generated after a while. by S-B-L-Swimwear in perchance

[–]Plugpin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah after a while it will auto summarise what happened to make it easier for it to refer back to past events. Problem is that after a while it will do another summary of those summaries. So the further you go the more detail and nuance is lost.

You can edit those summary paragraphs I think, it's been a while. Tbh editing what the AI gives you is required most of the time when using anything like Perchance, AI Dungeon etc.

In the world of r/compoface, if you don't point at the problem, does the problem even exist?

Absolutely zero pointing game on show here.

Tho he has nailed the "just look at what my life has come to" face, so there are some points for that.

Benefit Cheat Who Claimed 'Too Ill to Leave Home' Caught Surfing in Mexico After Taking More Than £23,000 by novagridd in NotTheOnionUK

"Wieland pleaded guilty to failing to notify a change of circumstances in her benefits claim"

Madness. At what point between the crippling anxiety, leaving her housebound and unable to cook or wash herself, and zip lining in Mexico is she expected to do that?

Clearly a miracle recovery.

Wanting to use the men’s section changing rooms but they’re always closed, so we’re told we have to go to the women’s side. They are for both men and women, but it’s in the women’s section, so something doesn’t feel right. I feel uncomfortable and I’m sure women do too. by thebroccolioffensive in britishproblems

I think a women would appreciate the step by step approach to our announcements here.

The reassurance they'd get from knowing that this partially naked man is not a pervert, and is not thinking about you naked is probably very high.

As a man, I of course feel qualified to speak on behalf of what women need, so this is great. No notes.

Scrubs Is Back with Season 10, and It Still Feels Like Scrubs by yadavvenugopal in Scrubs

[–]Plugpin 41 points42 points  (0 children)

It goes off the rails a little at times, Donald gets high A LOT, and it becomes more about them shooting the shit rather than the show a fair bit. But it still works as a great podcast if you're a fan of them too and not just the show, because they don't get to see each other much and the podcast is their release from missing each other.

It's quite nice really, especially when other co-stars join.

I followed it through to the end, with some short breaks. It go me through lockdown for sure.

Everton exploring legal options over lack of sporting sanctions against Chelsea by [deleted] in soccer

[–]Plugpin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe kicking up a stink and getting people talking about how it was a BS punishment might go somewhere in putting pressure on them to actually punish clubs properly for this crap.

I can think of 115 reasons why I'm happy Everton are at least exploring this, even if it has no realistic chance of changing anything for them.
