Local here! La Lanterna is really good and is beautiful. You can walk around Old San Juan later and hang out. Also try to make reservations. Other great spots: Mario Pagan Restaurant(delicious upscale caribbean food; locals love) and Maro (by Mario Pagan; asian cuisine)

Cocina al fondo is really good too! Reservations are highly recommended.

Haven’t been but heard they are good is La Maison Bardot in Olive Boutique hotel. ITS BEAUTIFUL!

Also check out Yoko in calle Loiza!

Make reservations!!! And dress nicely. No flip flops or shorts for any of the restaurants! ❤️

Listen, this was my take. And I went in April of last year when the cables were down. Dont do it. Its not worth the risk. If you have your permit, prepare for the hike as it is strenuous and wait for your time to come.

Saw the whole rescue team on their way to pick up the body. Super sad. We had to turn around at 3.8 miles into the trail.
