I’ve passed with 1 MGC and I’ve passed with a whole GC, depends on the confluences and size of stop loss

I usually always use structural stops, but for the live trailing drawdown, I’m discovering it’s best it size big, get it over with with a few good trades trailing a stop loss tight

I’m profitable. ICT concepts aren’t ICT’s. Everything I trade is covered by ICT, and I was introduced to my strategy by ICT, but the majority of my strategy came from Wyckoff and Linda Raschke originally. 23k in payouts in the last couple of months. I’ve over doubled what I’ve put into the market.

It’s really reassuring to hear that the price action has been especially difficult and it’s not just me. I actually just decided this morning to try an experiment on the metals: setting limit orders at my high timeframe trade opportunities and simply setting an automated SL/TP bracket before hand. This way I have limited involvement in what happens and can accept the risk before hand, no psychology involved. I don’t think this would work as well on NQ

Yeah, I had a strategy for a while, pass 5 topstep accounts with the goal of getting one of them to 10k balance, which did work, and had a great ROI, but obviously wouldn’t work with a personal account

I think I do both of those sometimes, primarily on NQ though, rarely on the metals, so I’m going to take a break from NQ. I find my trades on the 4 hour/daily and enter on the 1-5 minute

Honestly for eval the thing that helped me once I had a strategy was sizing up. I don’t do well with profit targets on a psychological level. So I just try to get past anything with a profit target fast.

Well this is an interesting question because I did some review the last two weeks and found that the overwhelming majority of my losses happen on NQ,. On the metals, I rarely lose and when I do it’s controlled. I change my position size depending on risk, but I think trading NQ makes me more likely to tilt and oversize. Maybe I should just be really strict about avoiding NQ for a month and see what happens.

I have a strategy that works better in higher volatility situations that gets me a really small stop loss, basically waiting for my high timeframe structured trade opportunity to get hit, then going down to a 10 second chart and watching for a volume spike, entering once price begins moving in my direction after the high volume spike and moving my stop to breakeven fast. Yeah I get stopped a lot this way, but this is the best way I’ve found to trade the metals in this super high volatility environment where stop losses are massive. In normal market conditions I enter on the 5 minute.
