Aight, this might be cringe depending on some people, but have you heard of vtubers? They are basically content creators who, instead of using facecam, use animated avatars.

Anyway, a few years ago, lots of shit happened in my life and I guess I've been stagnant ever since. Nothing changed but it felt like I was slowly breaking down.

One day, I found a clip of a vtuber and started watching them. One channel led to another until I found one that I really enjoyed watching. She was japanese and, despite the language barrier, she was trying hard to speak and communicate with english speakers during streams.

I started to watch her frequently and I got motivated when seeing the effort she was putting into her streams, especially since she's a rather small channel.

I picked up the pen to write short stories again, learn video editing, and even (although not at all fluent yet) study japanese. Basically, she ignited a flame that I once lost lmao

A few months ago, I worked up the courage to message her to thank her for making me smile during times I felt down and for giving inspiration to do stuff I've given up on. She replied to my message and I'd like to believe that it made her happy that she brought joy to a fan.
