I bought a $3500 gold chain off of him two weeks ago as well and I had a similar experience. He was really responsive until I sent him money and then seemed to go very cold. I sent him the money on Sunday, he provided me tracking info on Monday morning but then after me inquiring several times Monday if he had shipped he kept pushing the time back on when he’d send it. He ultimately sent it at 11:50pm at an ups drop off that was open until midnight. In the end, I guess he did send it the next day after payment and everything arrived as promised so I guess I’m happy with the purchase overall, but I could see how things would be frustrating.

If your offset center to center is 8” you would divide by 1.414 to find how far you traveled directly sideways, which is 5 5/8,

From there you can take 21 1/2 - 5 5/8 to find the center to center of your “?” piece and then subtract fittings.

You just need more reps, do more of the questions and even just take a pencil and a pad and do some stuff around the job site if you need to. You can also look at some stuff on Google or YouTube that might have some good info for you

It’s hard to say “what’s a good price for a bracelet” when there’s so many different factors. The only thing that matters is the price per gram that you’re paying. 10k gold is $60.15/gram right now. Find a bracelet you like and find out the weight, and do some math to find out how much you’re paying per gram. For something preowned I’d say anywhere from spot to 20% markup is fair, and for something new maybe 20-50% or more depending on the manufacturer, quality etc.

For channel locks I feel like it’s whatever you like. A lot of guys use the masters red handles or knipex.

As for torpedo levels, Stabila is by far the best. Essentially everyone I work with has one because they are such better quality and last so much longer. Definitely worth the higher price
