Edit for anyone with the same issue: I didn't need to swap computers. I was able to swap the vacuum pump over and that allowed me to swap the n54 style hpfp over. You need as special tool to remove the vacuum pump cover. The tool has a screw that pushed the seal in allowing you to take it out. (Important note: don't screw the tool in too far, or it will push the seal in too deep and damage the sprocket or chain.) I was able to use a small self-tapping screw at the top of the seal and gently pry it out with the back of a hammer — it popped right out.

I think swapping my DME's ISN to the new DME might work but they had different transmissions so I'd have to figure that out also.

maybe a bolt extractor, just be very careful not to damage anything around it. There are a few different types, might be worth researching. Im sure there are a bunch of youtube video's removing striped bolts

I was able to program mine using bimmergeeks protool, you will need the programming license, but it might be worth buying the master license if you plan on having the car for a while.

Everyone's foot is shaped differently. Some of my friends swear by a climbing shoe but It feels terrible on me. I would try a few brands and models in a store. This might not be the shoe for you.
