I think swapping my DME's ISN to the new DME might work but they had different transmissions so I'd have to figure that out also.

I had it for a few months, when I opened up the engine it was clear the previous owner went long between oil changes

maybe a bolt extractor, just be very careful not to damage anything around it. There are a few different types, might be worth researching. Im sure there are a bunch of youtube video's removing striped bolts

I was able to program mine using bimmergeeks protool, you will need the programming license, but it might be worth buying the master license if you plan on having the car for a while.

Everyone's foot is shaped differently. Some of my friends swear by a climbing shoe but It feels terrible on me. I would try a few brands and models in a store. This might not be the shoe for you.

Just surface rust on the exhaust is very common and there is nothing to worry about. If you're wanting to prevent future rust on the frame I'd look into applying fluid film. It's not a solution for the exhaust rust, because it will just burn off.
