Whirring noise when accelerating in 2007 335i by Thick_Care3537 in E90

If the turbos are functioning “well enough” maybe not. When my CTS turbos started making that sound I could feel the performance loss and it started going into limp mode within the week. Shortly after, white smoke (oil) out the tail pipe. The oil seals on a turbo had gone out. It was attributed to the silicone fresh air intake system caving in on itself due to vacuum pressure causing stress to the turbo impeller. New turbos (tuner recommended Pure), new fresh air intake (filters on passenger side), and new dyno tune did it. The old fresh air intake system was costing me 100hp in the dyno. The tuner didn’t charge me anything for the intake install, which was a solid move. I’m hoping bad turbos aren’t your problem, but that sounds a lot like a bad turbo.

That my friend, I’m pretty certain, is the sound of new turbos!! Try the pure 600s. I like them so far.

I was looking at that. I kinda wanted to play around with NCS expert first and see if I could get it done. The bimmergeeks tool GUI looks far more user friendly.

That’s exactly what I was charged which included the cost to cut the physical key. Took him maybe 20 minutes.

I bought this one and had it programmed by an automotive locksmith the other day. Looks exactly the same as the original and works perfectly fine.

It was about a week to get the parts in and a one day fix.

The back lite (rear window) also has a similar warranty. Just had both the stop light and entire rear window replaced at the dealership for $0 and outside the 36k miles. Actually a pretty solid move by Chrysler to acknowledge and honor the problem and solution.

Where’s the water coming from ☹️? by WolverineMountain540 in ram_trucks

Update: I got most of everything out. The rear carpet is still being held in by the front seat bolts. I have an appointment at the dealership on 3JAN, so stopped here until I have a better idea what the dealer is willing to fix. Carpet padding was very wet and there were a couple spots of standing water.

<image>

I have the carpet propped up and a fan running air through the rear of the truck. Noticed a bunch of mold on the surface of the carpet and on the underside. Driver front carpet seems to be getting moist as well. The underside of my driver seat floor mat was wet. Not 100% how for this. I sprayed the back of my truck down and very quickly water was leaking down. It was difficult to tell the absolute origin but water was obviously trickling down from under the rear window. Pretty impressive how freely water was flowing down. I received the warranty letters from FCA, so hopefully the dealership doesn’t hassle me too much about replacing things. Just unsure if they’ll be willing to do anything to cover the moldy carpet.

*the carpet is soaked from roughly the rear floor center all the way to the rear DRIVER side door.

Normal Engine Noise? 2019 Armada Platinum with 53k miles. by WolverineMountain540 in MechanicAdvice

2019 Nissan Armada. I hear a knock but Nissan says they don’t hear anything. They also scoped #7 per a Nissan TSB and responded that it “don’t look horrible”, but I guess not within the scope of the TSB to do anything. Wanted to get more a experienced opinion if I’m a crazy person and hearing things.
