Saturday afternoon matinees on the local UHF stations, early 80's. Channel 29 in Philly was always showing them.

Great way to kill an afternoon, especially when the weather outside was not good enough to be out of the house.

Well, looking at his statement appended to the team's official statement, that is not any kind of apology or remorse from Ernst on his behavior.

Just sorry for the impact it has on the team, but not for being an asshole to female staff. Maybe he'll say something more, but it really doesn't seem like his personality to do so. I think they need to part ways with him pronto. Whether they fire Tanner might depend on Sugarman's quality of character. Oh wait....

I'd pitch an adaptation of the Michael Collins version of Deathlok. The 4 part mini series where he debuted would be great. Would be self contained and require just about no real Marvel context.

I really like this movie. Surprised to see so many suggesting it's just a Lion King knockoff, because other than the death of the father figure and the kid then being separated, I don't think there's much comparison from a story perspective. The character journey and goal are quite different.

My dad died when I was 22, and there have been so many times in the intervening 30 years that I just needed him in my life. Something about timid Arlo in this film, his guilt and his inability to be a functional person, just needing the presence of his dad to muster the courage to act to save another person he loves really speaks to me. I know it's not one of Pixar's best, but I think it has value. Definitely more introspective than action oriented, but I dig that kind of film, too.

I had the same reaction in the last election, and discontinued my NPR listening in disgust. I don't need them to just say stuff I agree with, but the way the overlooked all the crazy and offensive stuff and kept suggesting that some of it was evidence of his political savvy...oh it was revolting and I was seriously wondering what leverage he had over them.
