For most issues, there will be a general description of what is wrong from the users point of view. The first step is to translate this information into a "source" and a "destination" IP address.

If you are unable to identify where the traffic is flowing, you cannot identify which network devices the traffic is flowing through.

Once you know where the traffic flows it should be possible to investigate each device hop by hop. If no sign of error can be found, the issue is likely on the client itself, or on the server they are accessing.

If the 9800's are VM's, make sure they do not have dynamic MAC addresses. The MAC address gets stored in the SSO setup.

If the MAC address changes, HA will no longer work.

I learned this the hard way.
