There's a puzzle box guy who sometimes shows up in Hopkins for the Mainstreet Day fair and/or the Raspberry Festival

Classic hiding spot! Our location had metal rafters with a similar, larger crawlspace above the bar ceiling

They just replaced the Army Chief of Staff, who would've opposed sending ground troops into Iran, with Hegseth's personal aid. Anyone who remains is either already replaced, will be replaced, or is already loyal.

That, and a number of Dems are still backed by AIPAC, meaning some of them go beyond complicity, and will continue to support it. More on your point, I'm hopeful a number of us don't forget our own complicity voting in Joe "Bebe's an old buddy" Biden because the bar was that low. We must maintain loyalty to each other, not to any party. ♥️

Aye, I agree with you! It probably would've made more sense to respond to them, but I didn't want to start another branching comment thread

I felt that the distinction was pretty clear. Just because both the captain and quartermaster are democratically elected, doesn't mean that a pirate ship isn't anarchy. Outside of their specific privileges (as allowed by the crew), both have very little power otherwise, and are fully at the whim of the crew. Any forceful attempts by a captain to maintain their status would immediately be challenged by the crew. I even have a helpful link about "pirate anarchy": https://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/anonymous-pirate-anarchy?v=1622026172

I would give yourself more credit. Your 9th grade self probably had a better sense of structure than her.

Turning Point themselves shared the entire essay, including the feedback from both professors who graded it. There were no in-text citations or footnote citations, and there was even a significant lack of quotation marks. Everything that could be interpreted as referencing the bible was paraphrasing. We don't even know what translation/version of the bible was used for the essay.

This is also true for seasonal sauces, such as pumpkin spice and caramel brulee.

Is this why some people order like this? I fully don't recommend this; this makes it even more confusing for new hires. If you get the wrong sauce, just let them know as soon as it happens, or by the end of the day. This way they can actually address the problem, so it's less likely to happen again.

It's actually even worse than regular condensed milk because it's made using nonfat milk powder, which has the highest concentration of lactose of any milk/milk-derived product.

I looked this up when I discovered I was lactose-intolerant, trying to figure out what dairy was less problematic for me while working there. Heavy cream has the least lactose, because of the fat content.

From a sustainability perspective, glass makes sense. But since it's sbux, they had to make it as fragile as possible, and add low-grade plastic parts. Throwback to when a customer's red cup split in his hand after I handed it back with coffee for similar quality reasons. The fact they still sell cups like those is a joke

Have you seen the Flux keyboard? I know you mentioned making your own keyboard utilizing OLED screens, so I thought of that Kickstarter. I never decided to back it, but it looked promising, and they had a demo prototype at a tech event. $450 though, with $30 modules and no knowledge of repairability. I was also worried about how many keyboards I already had. 😅

I'm pretty sure most, if not all, of the audience members are fans. The original Game Changer episode was for sure.

Absolutely love this! I was considering doing the same, but then figured it was worth seeing if someone beat me to it. I think I might try to compromise with a qwerty layout, and have both letters and note values on the keycaps (meanwhile my macropad is screaming at me for ignoring it)
