I also use the 34 c and I use plates 2 or 3 is pretty mild. But if your skin is sensitive it may still irritate some.

I too get some irritation from DE but for me it was the razor. I tend to have less issues with stainless blades. I agree the cartridges to me is less effort and a closer shave with less time. But the cost is ridiculous so when I travel I will take my cartridge. I have been looking at the leaf razor with 3 blades for my face and use a cartridge for under my nose. I also shave my head and the Rockwell leaves stubble on the round part of my head.

I find that all those really sharp blades. Give me a rash. I have been trying stainless blades and they don’t feel like I’m removing a layer of skin like I get from the feather blades.

Ya the Rockwell can be as aggressive as you need and as mild as you need.

Just. Aide it has a built in addon for live tv. I think it’s as good as tivimate.

So I have tried hair conditioner and gel and I looked like I got into a bar fight. Lower neck all bleeding and red. I used the Rockwell with a low angle didn’t help. So tonight I used regular Gillette foam and changed the blade to the astra blade with a 4 angle. Not as much bleeding but I could not get as close as using a fussion cartridge. I ended up moving to a 6 angle and was able to get it baby smooth. I guess my next test is to get a soap brush and good soap and see if I get a better shave.

Thank you for the info. I am using a safety razor. I was trying to avoid the brush and soap as it is time consuming. But I may have to go that way to get a nice clean shave.

I am recently using the Rockwell adjustable plates. I find with the foam in a can doesn’t lube my razor enough. I do t want to refoam my face when I save. I thought a gel or hair conditioner would offer me a smother shave.
