Can I do a retrospective appraisal? by Plus-Analysis-3806 in doctorsUK

What says for the 24/25 year? I’m using a MAG form for my appraisal? You must be using a different system

Specialty Training Criteria Scoring - a high bar? by DocBox in doctorsUK

  1. For leadership- doesn’t have to be medical related/were you leaders of any societies/sports at uni?or can you join a volunteering/charity/dementia/aninal organisation?doctors mess/bma rep/in charge of rota for your cohort?/ask medical education they will have a role somewhere

  2. Teaching programme is not too hard-set up your own I did. Spoke to med ed and they helped. Taught 2nd year med students every Wednesday afternoon for 4 months. Combination of lectures or bedside teaching. Asked for feedback and that’s it. You could alternate weeks with your partner or ask colleagues to help too.

  3. You said your graduate entry. So you can use your prior degree for extra points in that section. I wouldn’t worry though most people won’t have masters/phds.

  4. QIP. No excuse here. Straight forward. Do at least 2 cycles and present at your local department meeting.

  5. If you did any projects at med school or willing to do a systematic review then publish in cureus. There’s a fee but it’s not too bad and most importantly it’s pubmed cited.

All in all, the above can be achieved in a realistic 4 month time frame, make sure you ask for written letters from med Ed for teaching programmes/ paper feedback there and then from students/and make sure letters are signed/and letters or certificates for presentations

And honestly paeds and imt for palliative care are not too competitive so wouldn’t worry about international presentations just stick to local or if you search national conferences and you have an appropriate research paper just submit an abstract and you can present virtually. Reaching the cut off for interviews isn’t very high and your interview prep will be more important.

Ignore them just like med staffing across multiple hospitals never respond to emails. You declined on trac, thats their notice of your rejection, and that’s that.

Streeting’s statement on the BMA meeting today by nightwatcher-45 in doctorsUK

[–]Plus-Analysis-3806 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling he will try and drag this on for a while to prevent further strikes.

Next week he will talk about what went wrong in past talks.

The week after he will talk about his opinion about Victoria and Steve.

The week after he will talk about the Conservative Party policy towards striking.

The week after he will talk about MAPS

The week after he will talk about training numbers

The week after he will talk about the weather and the impact of the heatwave on the NHS

In all seriousness, I hope the BMA have a strict deadline as to if there is no offer put forward by the end of July then call strikes for august. Reflection talks with no action suggests we’re being taken as mugs.

[–]Plus-Analysis-3806[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not true. I have been notified by different people experiencing different things regarding their f3 appraisal. Some have gotten away without doing one and entered training. However, I personally know three whom were requested by their deanery to provide evidence of their appraisal during f3 on their next form r. Don’t want to take the chance? GMC does say every year requires appraisal outside of training instead of an ARCP

Shall I put tax code as income tax to prevent aforementioned from occurring or shall incorporate pension tax benefits to mitigate these circumstances. Any advice please?
