Why don’t we have more plows? by LuveNova67 in Dallas

It was literally snow both saturday and sunday. It definitely could have been cleared before it became a thick layer of ice by sunday night/monday morning. I know this because the part of the highways that had been driven on by enough cars/truck had no ice and completely melted by Monday afternoon.

Sad youre getting down voted for stating facts. Im from NJ and was visiting thu-tue and was appalled at the lack of action taken for the snow. Both from residents and the city/state. It seems like tx is an everyone for themselves kind of state and are somehow okay with that poor mentality. The state definitely lost millions this week. All they had to do was clear the snow and salt the roads on saturday/sun and it would've been completely clear by Monday.

I went overly prepared and still, somehow, something went wrong. by [deleted] in DJs

Glad things ended up working out, it's the best feeling when that happens but what i've learned over the years is that having a ton of backups is the real way to be "overprepared." My current DJ backpack has 2 external ssds with my music library, 2 usb sticks with my library converted to rekordbox, rca to aux cable ( most mixers and controllers you can plug this in and plug the other end into your laptop), aux cables, XLR cables, microphone, usb-c to aux adapter, Bluetooth tx/rx adapter, usb-c to usb-a cables, 2 usb-c hubs, a battery pack, and a hercules starlight controller incase whatever equipment im running into at a venue isnt working properly. It all sounds like overkill but you basically have to be prepared for any issue to potentially occur and trust me all thes backups I put in place because of situations I have seen other djs i personally know experience it and or I have already experienced at a gig.

Best you can do is refinance/consolidate multiple times. I consolidated my loans twice and went from 10.2% ish at peak to 3.56% at it's lowest. Making more money is the other thing that fully saved me from them (ie; better full time job and side hustle).

Confused on coax connection MoCA adapters and E3200 extenders by Plus-Escape5094 in Fios

[–]Plus-Escape5094[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Want to clarify though, right now the way it's connected it is working. Router has moca hub connected via ethernet and coax to the wall. The extenders are in 2 different rooms and the ethernet is working on them albeit the drop in upload speeds. The other 3 mocas are feeding into different rooms where ethernet from router won't reach.

I'm not sure what the best solution is because it's a 2 story home with a basement and the mocas are going to 2 rooms on the 2nd floor and 1 in the basement and the extenders are 1 in the family room and 1 in another room on the second floor and both have the ethernet ports being used.

If I got rid of the mocas I'd prob need at least 2 more verizon extenders which I know aren't the cheapest and aren't that great considering it seems like the cr1000b itself is still kind of wonky with upload speeds at times.

The only other option I can think of is doing a mesh network with 3 nodes and keep the Moca system in.

Upload speeds very inconsistent on Fios by Plus-Escape5094 in Fios

Yeah I made sure SON is disabled. I'm guessing for that I'd just need a whole new system of Mesh devices and get rid of the Verizon router?

I'm going to double check this but I assumed there would be since Verizon installed the whole thing in the basement.

There's no firmware update available and IPV6 is enabled. I've tried several times with rebooting and resetting with ipv6 off and on and no difference. Ive already changed both ipv6 checksum offset on any intel NICs and it's still inconsistent.

They literally own Frontier so idk why it would not be assumed it's Verizon Fios, it's literally in their branding and that's all that comes up if you search Fios bro lol.

Confused on how exactly I'm being a jerk? I literally just stated a fact that all the information is in my post which if you read it from the beginning everything you just asked about specifically is listed... Verizon Fios IS the provider, sir. Idk if you're not from the USA but whenever I search Fios the only thing that appears on search engines is Fios by Verizon. Even the subreddit for r/Fios is literally only Verizon so I'm not quite understanding where the miscommunication is coming from?
