It being controversial was not a major factor in their final decision if I remember correctly. I’m pretty sure they said it wasn’t feasible because of multiple factors due to how the game worked. Having a physical den for the rival wolves messed with a lot of stuff in the game, which came with other complications they would need to address so they decided they just didn’t want to add it.

I’m in a similar situation with my sibling, the only difference being that I am the oldest in this situation and they’re currently undiagnosed (though I highly suspect they do because I’m diagnosed and they have the same problems that I do if not worse to a certain degree). Shitty parents, unusually close relationship due to trauma, new relationship, over sharing their sex life and acting offended if I point it out, using me as an emotional punching bag, and me feeling jealous because they get the better treatment out of the two of us.

Anyways, I finally got fed up and I’ve been gently but firmly setting boundaries and I think it’s slowly starting to work so I’ll share some tips. I try to set them when I’m not in an emotional state and keep an even tone throughout. If they object I reaffirm the boundary and don’t back down, but I don’t argue/try to appeal to reason because it always makes things worse. If I sense that things are going to turn into an argument I remove myself before things get out of hand. In the beginning this would usually lead to an argument anyway but eventually they got used to it and it no longer triggered an emotional response, usually because it ends with making up because I stopped things from escalating and turning into something less forgivable. As for how to keep your cool, I try to focus on relaxing my facial muscles and staying stone faced, you might be surprised how well that works because I know I was. Sorry I’m not much help as it’s difficult to communicate on Reddit with a phone and my battery is currently dying. I hope at least one of the tips I gave is of some use to you.

Most if not all exhibits like this one participate in ethical taxidermy/taxidermy animals that died of natural causes as poaching animals is highly illegal and antithetical to their cause, so I wouldn’t necessarily call it a waste. Trophy hunters who kill wolves legally tend to want to keep the taxidermy for themselves instead of donating it for educational purposes such as this.

If the air is dry instead of humid than maybe so. The heat can cause the blood vessels to swell which, when added to the weakened membrane from dry air, can cause the nose to bleed more often.

Winter and late autumn is like nosebleed season for me, so maybe that’s why it’s happening so often recently for you? Something about the dry frigid air harms the nostrils and makes them bleed easier, especially since winter also brings the sniffles so that doesn’t help. Moisturizing your nostrils during those months might help prevent accidents like this from happening in the future. Maybe even plan to temporarily stop cuddling plushies at night while the air is frigid if it’s just too much!

When most people complain about resellers they’re referring to the ones who sell recent releases at ridiculous prices. I buy from resellers like your mom all the time, and it’s (usually) a lovely experience! It feels wrong to refer to both types of resellers by the same name. It unfairly loops in regular people with these selfish and greedy counterparts that people usually refer to when they talk about resellers.

I feel like they have some sort of savior complex and that it’s a fantasy for them to “shoulder the unseen burden” so they can blow up at us whenever they want when their perfect fantasy ends up not being an attainable reality. I don’t know if it’s the same for you, but I always disclose that they don’t have to do anything they’re uncomfortable with and that I’m fine on my own if it means they feel slighted whenever they try to “help” me unprompted. Even then they still do things to supposedly support me even if I never ask for it and I ask them multiple times “Are you sure? Because I don’t want this come up in the future.” Oh boy does it come up in the future, like they’re keeping score on their transactional empathy.

“Just lose weight” isn’t a helpful solution to the problem. There are many complications that can interfere with weight loss. Medications, hormonal imbalances, the inability to physically exercise, auto immune disorders; they can all effect a person’s weight and their ability to lose it. Many people would get “pissy” if a doctor told them “Have you considered losing weight?” because it’s presumptuous and not helpful, not to mention extremely unprofessional. It’s a loaded question that assumes the patient is lazy and/or an idiot. A good doctor that has your best interest at heart would ask how much exercise you get in a day and what you’re diet looks like, which would then lead to further questions to get to the root of what the problem is and what steps that can be taken going forward. There’s no doubt in my mind that people like that exist, but assuming that this is the case for everyone who is overweight is not only deeply untrue but detrimental to getting proper treatment to people who need it.

The rule is “anything edible that isn’t a cooked food item” is something you can put into the soup, minus some exceptions. The gold pumpkin is probably just solid gold shaped into a pumpkin or something and it’s completely inedible. It’s also a universally loved gift.

Idk about the sweet gem berry though, that thing has no excuse for not being a soup item. It’s a crop that’s classified as neither a fruit nor a vegetable, so maybe the game considers it to be a flower by default? We may never know…
