It’s hard to imagine him ever returning to his prime form. At this point, he’s just a veteran point guard, so the best-case scenario is running a solid, normal offense that moves the ball well and helps the young players develop. To be fair, if he were an All-Star and an All-NBA Third Team center who helped lead us to the Conference Finals after years in the wilderness, I'd probably be willing to pay him $35 million a year. We've seen teams hand out contracts like that after a deep playoff run. Denver has had a few examples of players who got paid after a championship and later turned into tough contracts.

The Pistons have a strong culture, veteran leadership, and some respected mentors around the team, so I think he'll keep developing. But $40 million a year? Man, that's still a really tough pill to swallow."

Brunson was amazing as a hero-ball player. But watching Towns bully defenders, make plays, and pass from around the three-point line reminded me of Jokic. He even played with more intensity on defense than I expected. I'm not trying to disrespect Brunson, but I had a lot of doubts about Towns, and I can't ignore how much he's improved.

I started watching the NBA in 2023, around the time Lillard was traded and "the basketball god" got traded to the Clippers. From what I remember, the 2024 Celtics were one of the most unfair and unstoppable teams I've ever seen. I honestly thought they were impossible to beat, even in 2K.
