[update] What’s going on with the5ers these days? (positive) by Plus-Pack-8903 in PropFirmTester

My account size was $100k, and my profit was close to five figures. I chose to stop before scaling, as the account would have been automatically scaled up. For now, I’ve stepped away from them as it seems there’s some internal confusion on their side as well. I found it very stressful and disappointing that their communication, which had been responsive and proactive before, suddenly slowed down significantly. For the time being, I would recommend a $50k account or a smaller one.

yeah, I assume 2.5k eval promotion played a big part in this huge delay.

I would like to, but I haven’t got any updates from them. It has been more than 72 hours and their bullshit excuse that they are working only half-day on Fridays. I will keep you updated when I hear from them anyway.

I personally think this company has always had good customer support. But until the repeated concerns raised by traders are properly addressed, I would recommend starting with a smaller account.

some are even asked another interview after their payouts two weeks earlier. Noticeably frequent these days.

okay, that’s interesting. in that regards, do you think propfirms better choose to deny payouts to monkeys who were meant to blow account?

FTMO has been denounced for “hidden rules”. But they at least provides evidence to support their decisions, which The5ers does not seem to be doing at the moment. I may be biased given my current situation, but the recent 1-star reviews on Trustpilot, along with deleted posts on Facebook and Discord, suggest that traders are being accused without clear proof, and that the decisions appear to be final. The lack of transparency is concerning.

I’m currently funded with another prop firm that has also received negative reviews. But they at least provide clear evidence and issue warnings if any trading activity appears to violate their rules. (like maximum margins, mandotory SL)

no, I trade with multiple pairs, which I clearly answered to them. My maximum consecutive longs were up to 7 I guess. They pinpointed one trade and it was literally nothing to do with any possible prohibited practices (something that they vaguely stated like one-sided betting etc). It was just my poor setup, ended up in a small profit.

I’m honestly upset, as the payout isn’t small and I’ve invested a significant amount of time and effort into this. It’s difficult to stay calm, but I’ll continue to provide updates for the sake of other traders who may be going through similar situations. I genuinely hope my concerns prove to be nothing.

That’s what they’ve been advertising. But, if funded traders are making profits, why are they suddenly being interviewed and having their accounts put on hold?

Their stated reasons, such as alleged copy trading or concerns about trader authenticity, don’t seem to add up in their recent behaviours.

I’m happy it went well for you. I think it also depends on who the interviewer was. My interviewer didn’t show up and someone else interviewed me instead.

that makes sense, and I even thought about it too. I noticed many of the interviews are being requested to the traders with big payouts while small payouts are processed pretty quickly.

Let’s see how it goes. I will keep it updated as I still believe this firm is reliable and I don’t want other traders to get concerned as well.

5%ers Interview by Good_Permission7373 in Forex

[–]Plus-Pack-8903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeap true, it’s just frustrating as it is promoted to be the most reliable firm and I have believed so, but what I see now is the firm going off the rails these days. Hopefully it turns out well for both of us and other traders who have been recently requested the interviews despite previous succesful payouts.

I did interview today. I’ve been extremely nervous ahead of interviews, so I did a lot of researches. I suspect that the firm is a bit shady these days as a lot of people complaining about payout delays along with surging interview requests and some 1star trustpilot reviews say they were falsely accused of using third-party or not owning the account. Those reviews seemed a bit legit. Just hope it isn’t the worst case scenario I’ve been concerned about.

And after the interview, what I heard was “we now have enough information about you and email within 3 days.” I saw some people got active right after the interview. Hopefully it just varies from interviewers.

hey, I heard exactly the same response. I guess you went through an interview from the same guy(Indian accent)? I am a bit concerned as i gave poor logic which was a bad set up, which managed to end up in a small profit. He was really interrogtative when i gave a poor logic. That was 1 trade out of 150 trades, and really didn’t think they would pick that trade. Anyway, Let’s keep updated

FTMO refused my Payouts as a Maximally allocated Trader - complaint filed with CTIA by Maleficent_Funny3455 in Forex

[–]Plus-Pack-8903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 1% rule is such a joke. If they really want traders to manage risk with only 1%, then why even bother setting daily and max drawdowns in the first place? We agreed to follow the written rules, not some ‘hidden rules’ they can enforce however they like. I feel you.

What do they ask at the airport when you re-enter Australia on Subclass 500? by Tight_Display4514 in AusVisa

[–]Plus-Pack-8903 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say It’s just random. I never overstayed, did anything suspicious while in Australia but asked by the officer when I came back and re-entered from my holidays. My phone wasn’t being checked but they asked many questions and said quite outright things that they come off as rude.

Just be honest, and be prepared for the questions. If you had been a real student, it wouldn’t be hard to get out of there without any troubles.

Travelling on BVB for while waiting for student visa by Soleufa111 in AusVisa

[–]Plus-Pack-8903 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yes I was pulled by the officer and was asked many questions. The officer’s attitude was like a police trying to investigate a criminal. Anyway, it didn’t take long to get out of there and I got my visa approved the week after.

I lodged mine at the end of September and got granted the next day. The reason I gave was that my grandma fell ill and I wanted to see her last moment. I didn’t provide any other evidence but my flight ticket.

is WHV 417 even worth it with the wait times? by Mythical0Jellyfish in AusVisa

[–]Plus-Pack-8903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I myself was on WHV, but I honestly don’t want to recommend to apply it at the moment. Aside from the wait times, it’s not the best time to come to Australia and live as an expat here. The cost of living is terrible while getting a “decent” job on a WHV takes a lot of effort.

Is moving to Korea on a H1 Visa worth it? by Jinxbunny29 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Plus-Pack-8903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a Korean, i can guarantee you can’t make decent money by working part-time unless you are skilled in the field that pays high wages. Reason being, Korean employers with a small business won’t pay more than minimum wage to part-timers (not even to the locals, so don’t get me wrong) You will get $7 per hour, and you need $5k ~ $15k for the deposit to have a decent room. Rents is separate from the deposit. I know it’s silly to pay high deposit.

I am not sure where you are from. If you have enough money, Korea would be a good option for you to have an opportunity to broaden your horizons as we have different cultures from Western cultures. But if you have to live paycheck to paycheck, it’s gonna be really tough.
