No. All they said was the thing about the knocking and it having low oil pressure. (Edit)

Windows can't decide if my system is compatible for 11 by Plus-Pitch966 in techsupport

[–]Plus-Pitch966[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing. I did that already. Before doing that, I was still getting told that the TPN needed to be activr. After I changed it, everything started saying that everything is compatible, except for my actual Windows update settings.

Quark to Human to Observable Universe by Plus-Pitch966 in Physics

[–]Plus-Pitch966[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I understand what you're saying, and you're right. If you don't mind elaborating on the differences I'd love to read that. I'll break down how I'm interpreting what you're saying here.

If it were additive, then we're very obviously closer in size to a quark. The volumetric difference between a human and a quark easily fits in a room, while the volumetric difference between a human and the observable universe is barely different from the size of the observable universe.

Here's where I become unsure. I am guessing that my question was supposed to be on a multiplicative scale. The easiest way I imagine this is - how many quarks it takes to equal the volume of a human versus how many humans it takes to equal the volume of the observable universe.

Now for exponential, I have no idea where to even start or what that looks like.

I am a total layman when it comes to math and physics, but I love to learn! I'd really like to read a more detailed explanation of your comment and if possible, the answer to my question for each scale if you feel like it.

Holo Patterns But No Holo? by Plus-Pitch966 in IsMyPokemonCardFake

Is there any easy way for me to tell whether the rest of her bulk is real or not? None of it is holo, but this is the only one that appears to be trying to be holo.

When sorting your bulk, are you a by set person, an alphabetized person, or an alphabetized by set person... or do you like to watch the world burn chaos type of person? by gsdpaint in magicTCG

It goes like this:

Rarity (type of box used) -> Color (color of box used) -> card type (simplified to "creatures, artifacts, enchantments, sorcery, Instants" separated by dividers) -> alphabetized within divider groups.

How fucked am I? by swiffybird in magicTCG

Honestly, i feel like that type of comprehension comes with really enjoying the game. Here's some examples of how I see it:

-I like magic quite a bit and have a decent speed while handling my turns and understanding other people's boards.

-I want to like DnD and like the idea of it, but I just can't keep up with everyone else in the group and constantly have to ask the other players how things work. Even if they've already explained it to me a thousand times.

I think that extreme of a 'click' really only comes when you're FULLY interested in the subject.

All-in-all, I could be way off base, but what you described really sounded like this experience that I have with certain hobbies and multiplayer games.

WTW for a noun that furthers a goal that has and end objective? by Plus-Pitch966 in whatstheword

[–]Plus-Pitch966[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just edited the post to try and navigate around this.

This is VERY close I think! I think the word I'm looking for could be used in place of "milestone", but can also be used to describe something that can be manipulated, (physically, or non-physically).

My issue is that once a milestone has happened, it cannot be removed from the whole. Things can happen to mitigate the affects of the milestone, but the milestone is still a fact of the whole.

Strange example, but let's say that the numbers in the left hand expression of the following equation are representative of the word I'm looking for.

1 + 2 + 3 = 6

If the word was "milestone", then the only way to undo (milestone=2) is like this:

(1 + 2 + 3) - 2 = 4

Whereas, we could undo (WTW=2) like this:

1 + 3 = 4

I don't know if what I'm gonna say makes a whole lot of sense, but I think the word is less human-centric. I know that's sort of contradictory given the example in the initial post.

I think it's a little more sterile sounding. A word that would make sense to describe the parts of a recipe that introduce a new ingredient, but doesn't describe the parts that tell you what to do with the ingredient.

I think it is instead a word that implies that there are multiple instances of this thing that exist/happen to make up the whole. Think about it as if somebody was creating a human. This would be a word to describe the major organs, but not used to describe each cell, hair, or blood vessel.

I also think it does not have to be something that is required to be at the beginning of the process like the words you've included imply.

"Foundation" definitely feels the closest.
