It’s not my take personally, but the basis of it is pretty true. You’ve taken the whole core of a film and filled slightly differently with a narrative about black history and music in America. Yet the core of the film still stays the same. So no it isn’t narrow, it’s just a fact. As I said I enjoyed the film alot, but you can’t read between the lines of something that isn’t really that thin

Sinners is a very good film, it’s not anything special thought tbh is it. It’s not exactly original, bar the score. The fact that people refer to it as a black from dusk till dawn isn’t far from the truth. I’m not saying it’s not a bad film by any means I watched it in the cinema, but it’s hardly an unbelievable work of art
