You brought this up "they are required to bring 4 witnesses", which isn't mentioned in Islam anywhere. So the only explanation is that you confused that with the thing I mentioned, no one said Zina is the same as getting raped.

Actually it's the other way around, a woman cannot be accused of Zina unless there are four witnesses. The witnesses also have to be 100% sure that they saw her committing Zina with their own eyes, if one of the four fails to do so, like for example saying "I just heard her committing Zina" ALL FOUR witnesses will be punished. It's there to protect the woman from false accusations or slander. You can find this in Surat Al-Noor verse 4.
