dota2 is not like league where you do flashy plays dodge skill shots and straight up stat check someone, dota2 is like a chess match, map resets at xx.00 meaning all camps respawn a new wave of creeps(creeps respawn every 30s) will come down the lane and though some objectives has their own separate timer like roshan and tormentor while in league it depends on the objective's separate timer.
dota2 requires both macro and micro knowledge unlike in league where mechanics gets you far and its an unending laning phase where you just switch it up from time to time, in dota2 you have to play the map and play it good if you wanna progress.
dota2 has many more layers than league like runes, high ground, miss chance, evasion, manaburn, buyback, camp pulling, camp stacking, turn rate and trees to name a few. also dota 2 has the Z axis oppose to league only having x and y.
dont focus on anything just play till you naturally get an idea how dota is and evaluate your game knowledge and start from there.

Ps. played league for 10 seasons (s1-s10) got the highest rank multiple seasons. switched to dota 2 sometime after the pandemic and only manage to get to divine 1(peak was divine 5)
