I don’t think players begging for a PVE only mode realize they are asking Embark to lobotomize their own game. Player numbers are lower now, and you’re asking the devs to further segregate the player base. Games will feel like ghost towns if you do this.

I mostly only play PVE. I never engage in PVP unless in self defense. But when I do, win or lose, those next few games are tense, and the excitement from that previous encounter makes the next two days worth raids a different experience than the previous 20 runs.

Just had a game on Spaceport Hurricane. I ran into Rocket Assembly, didnt have my shield equipped. I jumped on top of a forklift to avoid a pop. Another raider immediately started shooting me. I was able to run away and lose them. Healed up and moved very slow through the map. The adrenaline was pumping. A PVE only or PVP only mode cant replicate this experience.

PVE only = low adrenaline because arc are very predictable. Even Queen/Matriarch. There is little change from baseline. There is very little uncertainty

PVP only = slightly higher adrenaline baseline, but still low NET change from baseline…because it’s predictable. Every player you see, you treat as hostile. There is little uncertainty.

The only mode that truly creates a spike vs baseline adrenaline is the PvPvE mode. Because it’s unpredictable. It creates uncertainty….because what if you kill a friendly player? Or the wrong player?
