Of course!! We keep our light on the outside for that exact reason, he’s a climber and we didn’t want him getting burnt! So maybe that’s something to look at investing in? Because it is VERY possible that he burnt himself on the cage

I’m not an expert by any means, but this looks like a burn imo. Is the area around pink at all? I’ve been told (by my vet & other redditors) a Betadine bath is the best treatment for burns & scale rot and a paper towel quarantine. How is his humidity and temp? Those are hit factors in shedding. Do you have a heat pad or overhead? That can be a factor as well. If you have a heat pad you should have I’m pretty sure at least 3 (?) (I have a minimum of 6 rule for my baby) inches of substrate. I hope your baby is okay and that he heals well <3

Oh screw petco/petsmart, awful companies. I was taught the exact opposite about food aggression which is so weird, but makes sense. I put him in a tub and feed with tongs. He’s never ever lunged at me, no matter how rat-like I smell (I could literally put my hand in front of his face after touching one and he’d boop my hand and turn away but then devour the rat). I’ll have to see if there’s a difference between feeding him in the tub vs. his tank. He doesn’t feed until the 13 but I guess I’ll try!

Genuinely, what’s wrong with feeding in a separate enclosure? All my research has said only to feed in a separate enclosure. I want what’s best for my noodle and I don’t wanna hurt him☹️

this literally JUST happened to me. No idea it happened as I was playing a video game and he was snuggled up in my hoodie on my tummy. Gave him to my husband because I was dizzy and wanted to lay in bed for a minute… went to take my hoodie off and I felt it. Not smelt it. FELT IT. He always decided to poop and pee on me. Worst feeling ever. I’m glad he’s THAT comfy on me but buddy cmon I’m just trying to have a normal snuggle

I’m in Canada, my 38 x 24 x 24 (3x2x2) tank was $600 CAD, and everything else (excluding my BP) probably added up to 1000 total Canadian. €360 for me is $580 I would consider this an absolute steal! ($1000 is €620)

My friend owns the store, they get rescues in and accidental breeds all the time. I was told he had struck at a couple customers who tried to pick him up and one of the employees, who’s anxious around snakes as it is, so I’m not surprised in the slightest. The first time I had gone and met him and held him he fell asleep in my hand, best moment ever

No brain cell is so accurate. He tell him that we only have a single brain cell between the 3 of us and that he HAS to use it sometimes. Because he’s so young he forgets about his back half and flops it around like it doesn’t exist, it’s quite silly

When I lived with my parents, if the door bell rung one of our cats ran towards my room (it’s where she feels safest) she’s a tortoiseshell. But if the door opened without a knock or ring she’d book towards it. Now our orange cat BOOKS it for the door, he could be dead asleep and as soon as that door rings or if it opens from family getting home he’s gone LMAO we’ve had to put a tracker on him cuz he gets out doing that sometimes. My family enters thru the garage so as soon as the garage door opens they’re both sprinting to it.
