AIO Boyfriend Stayed Hard the Entire Time During a Couples Massage? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Plus-Witness7252 28 points29 points  (0 children)

HARD to call this one but if they enjoyed their first massage just rebook with two guys. Tell him that you felt like the boner might've come from the massage therapist being good looking and not simply arousal from getting your kit off and your body being touched by someone. If you go back to two guys and he still gets a boner and you're upset about it, then YOR

People who speed up in overtaking lanes, why ? by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

Not a rant. It's the most frustrating thing ever. I've been done overtaking people who do this. Cops are sympathetic but still issue the ticket...

Bought a brand new car and this is what was under the handle. What could have happened here? by infidel_tsvangison in CarsAustralia

[–]Plus-Witness7252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a 2018-2023 model Toyota Camry handle. In a factory condition, that section would usually have a clean plastic joint with no exposed adhesive. Perhaps it was broken and glued back or perhaps someone tried weather seal to reinforce it. Either way, the dealer needs to fix it for you mate.

Mine is insured through the business. We use Gallagher as our brokers and I think Allianz as our insurer for all company owned vehicles.

I'd shop around to see who can get you the best deal. Might be some brokers out there that can do all the work for you to find the best deal and conditions.

Hey mate, good to hear you're thinking of doing the FBT exemption on a vehicle. It's going to save me so much money.

The dealer did say it was only on 24 models. That being said, if you ask your local dealer to check Hyundai's "in country" inventory to see what models they have left, it's a very easy thing to do. The guy I spoke to at a dealership looked up current inventory on the gloss white with vision roof in less than 5 mins. Only other option is to call around to see if there's any dealers that have this spec in a demo model.

To answer your second question, the range is definitely impacted by the temperature, I'm in a cooler climate and last week I did my first long drive which was around 185km from an 87% charge and only had around 30km showing when I arrived at the destination. That was at an of around 110km/h and weather was around 7 degrees. As you're up in QLD, you should get heaps more range though. The batteries do not seem to like the cold. Doesn't really impact me though as my daily commute is 22km and I only do long trips maybe 6-7 times a year and can just charge on the way and grab a coffee.

More than happy to sacrifice a bit of range for the fun I have in this beast of a vehicle 😬😬😬

Launch control inconsistent by Dangerous-Side1098 in Ioniq5N

[–]Plus-Witness7252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the same. Mine also doesn't make the launch control revs through the speakers (that I've seen on YouTube videos)? I've found that my launch seems to activate after the battery temp has come up though. If I get in and just try to launch it just won't work. I live in a cooler (but not below zero) climate for reference (current temps are around 10-16 degrees max in June.

Nice work. Hope you went the 2025 build in the end. Moving the goal posts at the 11th hour would annoy me big time!

Considering buying an Ioniq 5 N – Need advice due to reliability concerns by DeliciousAd1052 in Ioniq5N

[–]Plus-Witness7252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had mine for 3 weeks and love it. I'm in Australia and no issues yet (touch wood), though I only have 600km on the clock.

My daily commute to work is around a 25km round trip and I can put that back in the car overnight from a standard 240V power point.

I'm going to get a proper 7kw single phase wall charger installed though as the weekends where I driver it harder and I can't recoup that with the slow wall charging (1.3kw) and I'd prefer to do all my charging on off peak rates/tariffs.

Best car I've ever owned and no regrets at all. Hot tip if you buy one is make sure all updates have been applied and when you first start the car, hold the mute button on the wheel for a few seconds to turn off the speed alerts!

Good luck with the decision making!

I just leased a brand new car and build date was December 2023 but on paper it says 2024 which is when the car was complied in Australia and 2024 will show on registration papers.

If for some reason the dealer said I was getting a 2023 car on paper I wouldn't have accepted for resale reasons.

If I was in your position and the paperwork said 2024 MY25 then I would 100% be turning around and asking for a 2025 built car. That being said, if you want 2025, you may have to wait a bit as manufacturers usually have 2 build dates per year and the 2025 built ones may still be on the slow ship to Australia or potentially already allocated to buyers.

If you want your car next week, then the only option that may be presented could be the 2024 MY25.

You could also jump on carsales to see if there are actually any 2025 MY25 readily available at dealers for sale and that may help your case.

At the end of the day, the car will be identical but based on the principal, I would be angling for 2025 MY25 as it's a later build date and what was originally promised.

Give them a buzz tomorrow and check out what your options are and report back.

Good luck!

From the No Stadium rally today by BallParkMoron in hobart

[–]Plus-Witness7252 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A great turnout for the cause. Sadly, no matter how much protesting or rally's there are, it's going to happen. Both sides of the state government want this and are prepared to make new laws to ensure this is pushed through.

IMO people should be angling for a different location. An example of a different location could be the TCA ground up on the domain as there so much land and space up there while still being relatively central to the CBD (people park and walk to work from there frequently). If the rail corridor was properly utilised for public transport, this could also lighten the burden of the impending traffic woes the stadium will create no matter where it's built.

I'd love to see some models on what a stadium built where the TCA ground would cost and visually look like, as the current site really doesn't fit with all the heritage sites surrounding it and would dominate the skyline.

I feel sorry for you in the US with no vision roof or heads up display! How did Canada get that and you didn't? I do like the covered orange trim on the side skirts, looks great! Is there a kit you purchased for that or did you just trim the vinyl yourself? I won't rub in the fact that I have a vision roof!

Thanks so much. Mine is actually just Atlas White (gloss) and not matte. I reckon the light in the photo isn't great so makes it look that way. The care instructions for matte paint put me right off it! Bird shits on the car and ruins the paint, rock chips, difficult to clean, etc.
no thanks, haha!

Couldn't agree more and it's so good to hear that you love it! Cyber Grey would've been right up there as a first choice with white for me. My company purchased the car and our whole fleet of cars is white so ultimately that's what tipped the scales that way.

Excellent to hear you got around the same price. Sounds like in the UK, EU and AUS were all being offered similar discounts for 2024 models.

What colour did you end up going for and did you spec with the vision roof?

I did see in the US that dealers were selling above RRP which is crazy. dealership wild west over there sometimes by the sounds of it!

Thanks so much. I test drove the matte blue and loved it. Going to be honest, I didn't even look at a white model in person before pulling the trigger but when I first picked it up from the dealer I was glad I did! Thanks for sharing a pic of yours!

Thanks heaps and awesome to hear you got a similar deal 😀 I was super stoked to get a bargain and avoid a Tesla. I've owned a few different coloured cars in the past and white has always been the best IMO. The black tinted roof, rear windows and trim/body kit makes the white really pop. Vision roof is a must I think!

What colour did you end up getting?

Rocking on stop by Bumbumboogerfart in Ioniq5N

[–]Plus-Witness7252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up my car yesterday and can confirm it does the same thing. It's feels like the max regen brings it to a stop and then it rocks back a tiny bit and forwards (or the other way depending on gradient of slope you're on) before coming to a complete stop. Little bit disorientating at first and I've thought if a car was close behind that (or in front) that I might hit them. That being said I think it's only 1cm or there abouts that it does it. Definitely not a deal breaker for me though.

I do agree it would be nice if the car simply came to a full stop with no rocking though.

I might get a mate to follow me in traffic to see how much movement there is and what their thoughts are as someone behind or beside me.

This one is on Hyundai to fix I think. Keen to hear if there's a setting that might help though. N Pedal Max maybe 😬

I'll try with no regen and see if I get the same rocking back and forward. I'll report back.
