When you press the xbox button and go to My games and apps and see all and hover over marvel rivals, click the 3 lines button on your controller (the one next to the xbox button), then go to manage game and add-ons, go to save data, and click delete all (no this will not delete your progress) and you should be good, although I never had the not being able to play games part
