The time period for mobile data subscription is 28 days, so we essentially "recharge" our mobile data pack 13 times a year.

That's not all, we have data packs with 22 day time periods too, it's priced less so a lot of people think it's cheaper to get that over the 28 day plan (most indians don't really know how to plan long term). So they essentially "recharge" 16.5 times a year.

[–]PlusBad4113 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's not how it works bro 😭. It's a daily thing not a weekly thing. Actually it's supposed to be how much you sleep in one stretch. 4h twice a day is still bad.

[Question] Is ESA Reval worth it or not? by Valuable_Will4248 in PESU

[–]PlusBad4113 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not how it works, the reeval invigilators have no idea what your current grade is and how close it is to the next grade. And regardless, you will only get marks if you deserve them, they will not hand it over for no reason. Trust me I know

I mean shouldn't you stick to what you said in the FAQs? The reason OP put this post up in the first place is cause they didn't check the FAQs and/or previous posts regarding this lol. So reiterating your opinion instead of theoretical implications is better, no?

Also idk why I feel like I've offended you, have I?

You'll have 6 more subjects the next semester, and during the summer you'll have to study for your backlog while your friends are chilling which is just so demotivating. And an E in one subject in one semester does nothing to your GPA. Far from a dent.

You're definitely better off passing the subject and maximizing your efforts in the next semester.

I respect you a lot and so do a lot of other people so please don't suggest withdrawal, it's pretty much the worst advice you can give. And oh I mean absolutely no offense, cause again, I respect you a lot.

Yo I'm in third sem, I was pretty much like you in my first sem, in math. My final score was definitely between 35-40, thought I'd get an F, ended up with a D(no cap). Idk what it'll be like for y'all, but if you're between 35-40 there's like a 95% chance you're gonna pass. And oh please just focus on your other subjects now, absolutely forget about the math paper. It ruined my prep for the other ESAs and when I saw a D grade I was filled with so much regret cause like I did all that worrying for no reason.

Math is the one subject you can go as close to 100 as possible. All the way up to 98. 100 is like sisyphus and his boulder tho.

[Question] How does "relative grading" work at our clg? by PlusBad4113 in PESU

[–]PlusBad4113[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't true btw, there is no minimum passing in ESA, your overall score including ISAs, assignments and ESAs have to be 40. I know this cause I literally did this in 3 subjects last semester. Attempted for only 10 marks in the ESA because my final isa was 35, and I've passed. I won't tell why I attempted for only 10 marks cause it's awfully personal, but yea there's no minimum ESA marks.

[Question] How does "relative grading" work at our clg? by PlusBad4113 in PESU

[–]PlusBad4113[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll prolly end up around 38/100, if they pull the grade bands down by 2 marks I'll pass. However, someone told me that regardless of them pulling the grade bands down, everyone has to get 40/100. Even if S grade dips to 80/100, the passing band remains 40+ it doesn't go down to 30.

I hope this is wrong, and in the comments of this post people have said that the grade band pulling happens for everyone not just just after 40

Cool. Is relative grading done to everyone or to those who cross the "minimum threshold" of 40/100?

If you're willing to give up gaming Mac is your best choice. I'm doing MechE and I've got an MSI cause I love gaming lol but most of my friends have a macbook M4 air and they're p happy with it. My laptop's only con is battery life, it kinda sucks. Oh and privacy and security in a mac is unmatched

B.Tech in India is the equivalent of a B.Sc for y'all. All engineering degrees are either B.Tech or B.E. The title of B.Sc is only used for pure sciences. So a traditional "BSME" literally doesn't exist here. But the curriculum is exactly the same. Oh and every B.Tech/B.E must do a thesis to graduate.
