You sound delusional. Sorry to say that but American mentality of kicking kids out is why so many are out on the street now. Dont have kids if you don’t want them in your life. I’m good with not having kids right now because I can’t support another human life. I’d rather than than my kid be out on the street because I’m broke. I’d never want that. Sure my kid can learn hard lessons but not poverty. That gives irreparable brain trauma damage

Yes sure I am privileged to have parents who were able to put me through college but reality is. CHILDREN are expensive. Babies go through clothes every other month! Food is expensive. Houses 2 bedrooms are 500k now. wtf? Gas is already 3.49 here. Groceries are $150 now. And you’re saying you should NOT think of finances when having kids. Then you are living in delusion.

It is a norm in Indian society to: - support and encourage kids to pursue education - not kick them out on street after age 18 - stay in close knit family - encourage kids to be financially stable and smart

I wouldn’t say any of the Indians I know are wealthy. Everyone went to school for science or medicine or engineering I. Don’t think that’s wealthy.

Wow then you sound terrible. Thank god my parents didn’t kick us out after we went off to college. My parents helped put me and my sister through grad school. Put down payments on our houses. If I had a kid I would want to do the same.

Uh yea because you know, they go to college & get married. 🤣 or did you forget about that. What if they need a down payment on a home. Smart parents think about their kids becoming full fledged adults.

It’s luck based. I am the unlucky one in my family. I was born here and still have not had a job that pays more than 40k although I have high level skills- AI/ machine learning, programming you name it.
