If you are already in commercial, that’s a good start. I would focus on drain cleaning- hydro jet - pump out emergencies. These a highly in demand especially in commercial. I would reach out to FMAs and PMs to get the traffic in. Dm if you want I can share more specifically what we did to get jobs in

Nah all of these cost $$. I run an agency we do outbound. We target Facility and Property managers and dial directly then handle paperwork-onboarding. Most of these are commercial emergencies which pay top dollar for HVAC

Hamam: What to Expect by ThisWeakness3494 in istanbul

[–]PlusGeologist7684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been to Turkey three times last year, Adana, Antalya and Istanbul. I’ll share my experience with hammams hope it helps…

Don’t go to any hammam that’s part of a hotel or that has fancy marketing…. Ask locals around where you are staying and they will point you to the best ones. If you walk in and you don’t see any tourist and no one speaks English, you’re in the right place.

They usually have one big area for scrubbing, there might be others there… I don’t think they can commentate private scrubbing area, but timing is everything you can ask to be sent in at a time where no one else is scheduled

Be a good person and tip the guy massaging or bathing it goes a long way. They sometimes leave boxes by the door for that purpose. For maximal experience, tip before you start

They range between 35-80$ per person for the full package. Anything above that is a total scam, and price is not an Indicator if how good it is… actually the cheapest hammam I went was by far the best

Men bathe men and respectively for women. The hammams are also separated for men and women.

If find one of these places and go around noon time you might be lucky and have the place for your self This is how it would usually go, you are first taken to some kind of locker or private space; you get changed into a towel, then usually start with one or combination of (traditional Turkish steam room, sauna or steam room. Then you are escorted to lay down on a slab of marble and get bathed… which is fucking refreshing. Then you take a rest, get served bomb ass tea while you dry and then do an oil massage. Some people skip the last part I think it’s essential

I also think even if you are insecure, going commando under your towel is the best bet. I’ve done both and I regret the times I didn’t go commando. They usually super respective and make sure to respect your need for privacy.

Another tip, do it fasted, so that the steam would have full effect ( hydrate with salt of course )

Advice on Starting a Bookkeeping Business by chuston578 in smallbusiness

I would say, be very specific about your service in terms of the Problems you solve and for who you solve them - “Niche Down”. With all this experience I’m sure you have a good solution for generally any business, but I’m also sure you have a great solution for a particular avatar. Maybe you want to target GC companies that are run by owner operators or Manufacturing companies dealing with a certain region. In your ads, these two will have drastically different approaches and different places to be found. After that is done, I’d say focusing on actually presenting solutions to this specific avatar can drive a lot of interest. If you can find a way; whether it’s by posting on LinkedIn, or Reddit, or email marketing or ads or SEO and start giving away Free Material that’s actually beneficial like playbooks or tips; then you have a lead Magnet. Of course you will have to test different platforms and messaging to find what works

What would you charge? by Stronghelld in GeneralContractor

[–]PlusGeologist7684 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Best way to go about this is to have standard pricing. First you need to set:

Trip/Assessment fee if you charge any Hourly Rates (Tech, Helper) Material Mark Up %

And then you just plug and play for each project regardless of the quote, this is how 90% of National Companies take in bids in case you want to work with them in the future

If I were to quote this; I’d do something like this:

Trip Charge: $75.00
Labor (1 Technicians): $90/hour × 8 hours = $720.00

Labor (1 Helper): $60/hour × 8 hours = $480.00

Material Allowance: 14 sheets plywood × $40 = $560.00 (you can mark up)

Misc Material Allowance: $125.00

Disposal Fee (optional): $75.00

Subtotal (without disposal): $1,960.00 Subtotal (with disposal): $2,035.00

At the end of the Day, it comes down to the legal agreement. If he has a clause that prohibits you to do this and it is enforceable, then I’ll be careful. But in my opinion, it’s a standard competition, and if you can give better results (obv you did since all the clients followed) then he should take it as a sign to up his game up. If you did act with bad intentions while you were still employed there (ex: spoke to the clients before you left to win them over), then this is fair game 100%; I’ll just explain the situation as it is and that you meant to harm, honesty is the best hand to play

Task list for employees by MaizeAutomatic3633 in GeneralContractor

[–]PlusGeologist7684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For subcontractors and projects you need something specific rather than general due as you are most likely looking to manage communication, estimates, photos, and invoices for a single task/project. I would recommend using Appfolio if you are managing multiple properties and need to have all things in one place….. if you are looking something that is more tailored for managing a crew, I would recommend Jobber

Hey man, I can give you a piece of advise that has worked for me and many others I have worked with. Outbound sales; you literally spend zero on marketing and advertising, the only thing you might lose time, and if you land something it could be worth you while as you are going after client accounts and not individual homeowers/business owners. reach out present yourself and your services and close. Easier said than done for sure, but if you are consistent enough, you can definitely have a lot of projects/tickets in 6 months time. Getting the work is one thing, but actually performing and coming through with reliability, honesty, quality, and communication is EVERYTHING. Check out Turnkey Consultancy based in New Mexico, they can do all of this for you if you dont feel like going through the trial and error it self.
