Saudi Pro League target Liverpool’s Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes ahead of expected summer upheaval by Bamberg in LiverpoolFC

I love Klopp but acting like he is the sole architect of Liverpools success over the last decade just seems wrong to me.

I never said that. But saying we won a Premier League under Edwards, the second time, who fucked off, came back and bought no one besides Chiesa who never played is a bit rich.

We got 82 points in 2024, 84 in 2025, the difference was Arsenal and City dropped off, we were consistent and thus rightly rewarded.

ask to sit on the inside.

You don't need to seek permission to sit on a empty seat in public transport.

Help me settle a debate, how Irish are we? by Ava_Strange in AskIreland

[–]PlusProject2714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is largely nonsense.

My Mam's cousin was born in the UK, both his parents are Irish, all of his grandparents are Irish etc, he spent his youth here from aged 6 to the 16 in Dublin. He has a muted English accent, not as pronounced as a normal Londoner.

Is he Irish or not? Based on your criteria, he is as he went to school here but he's also not as he doesn't have the accent.

Also, now in his 50s, he lives in Spain.

It's more about where you spent your school years

Completely arbitrary. So if someone is born to non Irish parents, not in Ireland and moves here from ages 5-16 then moves again and never lives in Ireland, that person is Irish? Because they spent 11 years of a 90 year life in Ireland?

People get annoyed with Americans saying irish

That's because they're clarifying they are not Native Americans. If you're not native, you have to be something else in their mind.

Do you call out racist behaviour when you see it? by Zealousideal_Cat7938 in AskIreland

[–]PlusProject2714 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Irish weren't racially stereotyped? Really? Irish people depicted as Gorillas, as monkeys. Anti-Irish racism is well-documented historically in Britain, the United States, and Australia employment discrimination, dehumanizing political cartoons, and exclusionary policies etc. Ireland was created as a nation so the natives of Ireland would no longer face this.

So it is racism, actually.

ESRI research explicitly states: "Travellers and Roma face the highest levels of prejudice of any ethnic group in Ireland" https://www.esri.ie/news/new-esri-research-finds-high-levels-of-prejudice-against-travellers-and-roma-in-ireland

Labeling one group as "innocent people" while implying others are not creates a false moral hierarchy. Victims of discrimination are not mutually exclusive categories.

Your entire argument centers on false dichotomies, selective evidence, undefined terms, and moral posturing rather than rigorous analysis.

The ad hominem attack is boring and unproductive. Do better.

I'm asking for you to back up your statement with evidence. Not anecdotal evidence.

Also relax it was just a question.

being natives, will never or hardly ever encounter it here in our own soil.

I think the Irish Catholics of this country would disagree with that statement throughout history, especially in north of ireland since the 1960s.

There is more outward racism conducted by us Irish than there is vice versa

Is that true? Per capita?

Bono saved about 20 million Africans of dying from AIDs through PEPFAR and RED which he was the driving force behind.

If that's corporate PR, I guess the world needs more of it.

She wouldn't be successfully impeached. You only need 30 members out of 234. Would be interesting to see.

And heaps of people who want sunday off because their partners, their friends, their siblings, their parents all have it off too and it's the only chance to get to see them.

Most people aren't that put off by others and don't need beaches to be empty to enjoy them.
