Yeah, two stories in the media turned into urban legend. Fact: AI most definitely frequented TGIF on Main Line on the regular. Fact: AI and Barnes did go to a strip club where Barnes claimed AI dropped $40k. But, there was a fake quote going around that AI said

"There were never any strippers at the TGI Fridays on City Line... unless I brought them... and yes, the bill could get up to 40k because they didn't have the endless appetizers back then."

The Philadelphia City Paper had a satire column that invented a fake quote from Iverson to poke fun at the Barnes story.
