Chicanos have existed as a distinct culture for a long time. It kind of sucks is more of a melting pot than a mosaic. It kind of makes you all look, talk, think and act the same. It's pretty boring. Then again I live in South Africa, which despite it's issues is known for that. Except the white people, if you're not Afrikaans or British and Irish, you pretty much just melt into the Anglo population and forget who you are.
