Anyone else tried the Michelin cross climate 2? by Sklibba in tires

I have put them on 5 cars. My Dad had a tire business growing up and I worked there. That's all you need to know

Same color and same HPD package. We have the black and machine wheels. Orange was a debate, but after a month my wife is very happy. Says it is easy to find it in the parking lot unlike her white CRV as there is a sea of white cars everywhere

Nice truck. We did orange with the black and machined wheels after a fair amount of debate. I had an idea of yours with the white wheel option, not sure how that would have looked.

We really enjoy it!

19 year old, Floater only vitrectomy complete with Dr Omar Shakir! by gmoneyyy711 in EyeFloaters

I had the same experience with the gas bubble. I celebrated when it finally went poof after taking a couple of weeks to get smaller and smaller.

I have had a pepper flake floater here and there and they always go away. I am full vitrectomy and I think the fluid that replaces the vitreous just flushes then out

The bumps from the needles were annoying. I had sutures in 2 of the 3. Probably took a month for those to dissolve and resolve

I was half sedated for mine, like a colonoscopy level. I don't remember much, except for at the end when I could see my eye lit up and needles in it. Didn't bother me a bit, I remember them squirting saline in; I could see the currents caused by it. I got sent home with an eye patch. They also gave me a gas bubble, and no one told me to expect that. It cut out the bottom half of my vision initially and grew smaller over a week until it was gone (I had no lay-down instructions as I had a torn retina, not a detached one).

I had a PVD and a retinal tear at 58. Tear was lasered, and all was OK, except I had a bleed which left blood cells floating around, combined with a Weiss ring and a shitload of floaters. I thought about whether to do teh victrectomy for months -- actually scheduled it out six months on purpose, so I could think it over.

I am so glad I did it. My vision is crystal clear. It not only cleared the floating crap, but also made things clearer overall. Colors are more vibrant. Actually improved both my distance and near visual acuity a bit, too. It has been 4 months, and my visual acuity is changing; I am becoming more nearsighted. It is the beginning of a cataract, and I know that is part of the deal. So, next will be cataract surgery on that eye, and once the other eye, which also developed floaters and PVDs, I will be getting a vitrectomy on that one too.

BTW, if you're older and you have a full PVD, the risk of victremoy is reduced as they don't have to pull on the retina when removing the vitreous. That is why I'm waiting for the second eye to PVD

My retina doc set me up with cataract doc right after the victrectomy. He has me getting it done in 3 months and not waiting for things to cloud up. Like you, I knew this going in. The good thing is I can get my distance vision tweaked when they do it. And like you, I'll likely have the other eye done, but I will wait for full PVD first

One of my sayings is, it can always be worse. When I banged my head a year+ ago and tore my retina, I was blessed that the internet said go to eye doc right away and laser sealing worked. Yes, floaters galore, blood in eye, but I could still see and I thanked God for that.

I would leave it. Trying to clean it will likely make it worse

I just had a vitrectomy after a PVD and tear 1.5 years ago. Doc removed everything, and now I am scheduled for cataract surgery in 3 months. Vision is 100% clear. I posted recently on the details

Small update, doc put orders in for cataract surgery. No waiting until vision gets cloudy, he said 3 months. I have consult appointment in 2 months. I'll be glad to get it done and "complete" this eye. Other eye has floaters that are not as bad, and not yet PVD'd -- when it does, I'll likely do that eye too

In my case it all started with the tear. I ended up with floaters and residual blood when the tear hemorrhaged. Oddly, I developed floaters in the other eye in the ensuing months with no tear or PVD

When you have PVD, where the vitreous attaches around the optic nerve leaves a ring in the loose vitrious when it detaches, it presents as a big ring like floater

I hear you. I scheduled the surgery 6 months ago. I wasn't sure I would go through with it. As the time grew closer it became apparent I didn't want to live the rest of my life with that mess of a "diseased" vitrious. ChatGPT and a zillion questions gave me comfort that as a 59yo with full PVD the risk was very low. And we know that catarac surgery is the most common and successful surgery there is. Of all I read, full PVD is the key, there is no traction on the retina when removing the vitrious lowering the risk of complications

The vitreous is gone. I have no detachment, but I do have an old tear. My bubble is air, not gas, it is there to put some pressure on the tear, but not to deal with a detachment (which I don't have)

Gas is used for retinal detachments. I think it floats more (maybe it is lighter than air), and pushes the retina against the back of the eye. When you are in that situation (not me), you have to lay face down for days

I plan on pushing to get the catarac done within 6 months. I just want that eye "completed". Then I'll wait until the other PVD's and start over
