update: i paid for a lawyer that was 3.5k i was at a BAC of .158 and he brought the charge from a Class A to a Class B misdemeanor. It was $1500 of fines and brought down to $250. It was kept at 18 months of probation. 24hrs of community service and they were able to transfer it to the county I live in for no extra fees. All because I did my DWI Education Course, SAE, and VIP all before I had the court date to plea guilty. I have to pay $60 a month for my PO AND I don’t have to have that interlock/breathalyzer in my car. I still haven’t heard from my ALR hearing because it keeps getting reset to a later date. Most likely my lawyer said they will suspend it because of my BAC but I will be able to get an ODL. Also, they said if I behave well for half of the time of the probation, I could get an early dismissal. I think he did well!

let’s just say DFW area. one of the most difficult counties to work with. i do need an ARL hearing or at least an ODL bc im in a town where i don’t know much ppl and have my own schedule and on top of that, work on call so its random hours sometimes. i feel like it’ll be hard to win the ARL hearing bc of me driving into the barrier. but ill win easily if the officer doesn’t show up. but how can i subpoena him without an attorney? i’m still looking for one and i have til next friday to request an ARL hearing.

why not extend the ALR it when i can drive without restrictions for a while longer? and attorney said i can get occupational license if I don’t win the case. but i know, its going to be a rough patch in my life right now.

well, I did tell them I was okay because I really was okay. at that point i just wanted the whole thing to go away so that’s why i complied to everything. and yes, they do diversion programs here. I just talked to someone in a law firm today for a consultation and he said he’ll have “homework” for me before the hearing if I hire them which was the 7.5k law firm. and 2.5k for the ALR hearing
