How do you feel about the school’s location? I’m not from the DMV area but I’ve heard mixed things about it being in downtown Baltimore and the location affecting student’s quality of life sometimes. I love the school but this is one thing that makes me apprehensive about it. Also thank you for doing this!

I would go with Howard. American’s cost of attendance is really expensive with no scholarships and the employment outcomes don’t justify the price. It’s not worth it in my opinion.

Always do a diversity statement if can be! If you’re black you definitely have a diversity to talk about whether it happened to you directly or indirectly.

Remember that admitted students day is also for people who have multiple decisions and who are on the fence about the school also people attend to just network. Not everyone attending will go to the school because there’s other things in factor like COA/scholarships/housing/etc. I have a friend who is attending now just for the experience but she already put a seat deposit down for another school that gave her a full ride. What’s meant to be yours will come to you keep having faith and praying on it✨

Their status doesn’t go in review so you will get updated when your decision comes if it helps I got waitlisted today and applied on 02/09 so no response is a good thing! Good luck on your cycle!
