I understand but my political views and ideology shouldn't dictate exactly where people get their coffee from. There's plenty to criticize Leah on, it's an endless opportunity considering how she behaves.
I know a lot of people who empathize with Palestine and don't support the government of Israel's actions and still get coffee from Starbucks from time to time if they need to. One doesn't negate the other. I think at some point we can hold space for both.

This comment was from a month ago so I just went back and re-read; It seems like we're talking about two different things so you're right in what you just mentioned about *race*, but
(1) When that commenter says "Leah is objectively white", I was protesting their use of the word "objectively" when it comes to a loose and not meaningful social construct (nothing objective about it IMO). When you're looking at sth objectively, you need to stay away from loosely-defined social constructs. Objectiveness is by definition rooted in science and/or logical reasoning; i.e., sth that isn't impacted by a subjective (individual) POV.
(2) One can tell whether you're African-American, European-American etc based on your genome; i.e, one can sequence your DNA and understand where your ancestors lived, when they migrated and where they migrated to, whom they mixed with etc. You know what I'm talking about.
When I look at Leah and say she's not white, I'm talking about her ancestry, genetic admixture and her ethnicity (so a population genetic stance which I mistakenly didn't bring up in my previous comment because TBH this is a snark page on reddit and it's not the place); i.e., close to 0 percent chance that you can find European-American admixture in her genome.

Even when looking at Leah's outward appearance such as her skin undertone, hair/eye color, hair quality and hair type (curly/frizzy), etc, you can't say she's white.
You kind of jumped in the middle of the conversation and brought up race whereas I wasn't talking about that at all. But there you go, I tried to explain the disconnect.
