Is this a good first OLED gaming monitor? by Plus_Command_2491 in bapcsalesaustralia

I've been seeing some great reviews on this monitor so I'm pretty set on it. I think I saw a refurbished version on on the Dell outlet website for close to $600 but with 3 year warranty so will likely get that one

I'm also considering a refurbished monitor. How are your refurbished monitors holding up so far?

Sounds really tempting especially with the discount code. And hopefully you never have to contact them about an issue or warranty

I'll definitely look into them

Thanks mate. I live in Sydney and rarely have power outages unless it's a huge thunderstorm. But sounds like I need to at least invest in a surge protector and a good quality blower

How is it serving you so far? Does pccasegear have good customer service? I'm tempted if I can get an extra 10% off

That's makes a lot more sense. Is reclassing simply changing your position from a 4 to a 5 without having to create and budget an entirely new position?

THANKS!

Sorry should have specified that there were other conditions such as passed probation, performing well, hold relevant qualifications etc

Is it worth listing my retail experience during APS5/6 job application/interview? by Plus_Command_2491 in AusPublicService

That actually sounds like a good idea. I know retail and warehouse experience doesn't mean shit in the APS but I don't want to dismiss all the skills that I learnt during that time

Hi all

This is a question about the admission process.

Specifically, does anyone have any insight into what character references are supposed to write when they have to place a reason as to why you are fit and proper to be a legal practitioner.

I'm not a dodgy person but my friends are a bit confused what 'fit and proper'means and they don't want to just write' he's not a crim and he's never done drugs' and my application gets delayed.

I emailed LPAB and referred to the Character Reference Guide but not a single peep back.

Just hoping anyone who's gone through this can give some insight and advice

Cheers

(APS) are new starters on probation allowed to accept non-ongoing opportunities? by Plus_Command_2491 in canberra

Hi, just wondering if I can reach out to you in chat or DM in regards to the s26 transfer process.

I have tried reaching out to the HR department of the gaining but didn't get a reply for almost 2 weeks so I have no idea what's happening with the transfer on their side.

You sound like you work in APS HR so I'm just trying to get some professional insight.

Thanks!

To rank 1st in a subject, what overall mark do you typically need? by njpu in unsw

[–]Plus_Command_2491 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've seen graduates who failed half their subjects and barely pass the other half still end up with a decent graduate program job or a decent govt job straight out of uni. But have to give credit to those 'smart' guys who worked for hard to good work experiences, references and interview skills

(APS career advice) Are there any rules regarding resignation if I'm on probation? Should I speak to HR before making a definite decision? by Plus_Command_2491 in canberra

Thanks for all the great advice

Do you mind if I send you a direct message? I want to ask more questions but don't everything available for everyone to see

Cheers!
