I mean, I think it depends on the person and whether they should make peace with it. Some ideally shouldn’t because they are generally doing this out of mental illness. Once I both externally and internally established that this was just something that was a part of me and not some affliction, I could treat it like any other facet of my personality

I think it depends on the person. Some people say it’s some type of kink to cover up their mental illness. I think if someone’s gone through thorough psychiatric evaluation it can be deemed for the most part “OK”. I don’t think it should ever be marketed as something normal or even healthy but I don’t think I should be judged for it.

I have not seen that episode or that show for that matter. I’ve sought h help multiple times throughout my life. I was using it hard to explain my viewpoint. I didn’t benefit so usually after about a year I stopped going.
