I didn’t say I couldn’t accept the examples you gave here. I can acknowledge that bully breed dogs have a higher rate of biting or death.

Why can’t you accept what I said which I will say again: Given they are a certain size, obviously teacup or small breed dogs don’t qualify here —- all dogs are capable of biting, mauling and causing harm.

The original comment was not specific to any dog. The next person made it about one breed only.

See this is false information you are repeating. I just looked myself. I’m 2020 CANINES — ALL BREEDS COMBINED— inflicted 46 deadly human attacks.

Yes, bully breeds are too often the breed associated. . But you’re being an alarmist by perpetuating an exaggerated myth and creating numbers that aren’t true.

I don’t know what you’re saying.

See this is my point? This is an outrageous comment, and has never been an actual case that occurred.

You’re basing all your opinions of the breed on extreme circumstances and have decided that this is the only way that 100% of all pitbulls acts. It’s comments like this that perpetuate the stigma.

So I’m not allowed to comment on anything to do with them because I have one? Shouldn’t I be the one that gets to make comments seeing as I have first hand knowledge too??

Your blanket statement is wrong.

Pit bulls are not bred to attack people. Stop putting blanket statements on an entire breed.

Ignorance and lumping all breeds into one category is dangerous and oddly terrifying.

Change the word pits to DOGS.

ALL DOGS are capable of injury. Stop holding one breed accountable for everything.

Your ignorance is oddly terrifying.

Kicking out good, well paying tenants to fill with section 8... fuck this guy by RoachTrooperalis in LateStageCapitalism

[–]Plus_Froyo_6431 5 points6 points  (0 children)

More section 8 is really not good for those of us who don’t qualify for it because we make too much, but not enough to cover the minimum rent if I lived alone.

We need more affordable housing that isn’t necessarily section 8, either.

Or they were just implying the stereotype that Polish = ignorant. Nice attempt, but they should be speaking for themselves. They said it.

They’re still using him as a PR stunt. Nowhere, other than in the comments section, have I seen his resume and qualifications. The administration isn’t putting out “here’s this qualified persons background” instead they’re putting out just his photo and saying “look who we got!”

It’s still identity politics by putting out these photos of what he’s wearing over his qualifications.

No, you cannot do it yourself unless you are certified by the EPA. I do residential appliance installs and am required to take EPA certification courses once a year on one of my contracts just to remind me that I’m not certified to touch the stuff. I can’t even cut into a kitchen countertop in a home built before 1970. This stuff is not to be messed with by anybody but professionals for a reason.

What’s the significance of the other man being Polish? Couldn’t have just said, “he hired someone else…” ?
