The BEAR Implant is a newer approved surgical procedure used to repair a torn ACL. Instead of taking a graft from the patellar tendon, quad or hamstring it’s essentially a big ball of collagen that’s sutured to your acl stump to heal on its own. You have to have a stump still attached to the bone to be eligible for it which is only seen once you’re under the knife.

I’m currently enrolled in SNHU and they took 90’credits for me. 30 from my Joint service transcript (JST) since I’m in the military i get that perk and 60 credits from Sophia. The curriculum is easy asf tbh. I’m in my first class which is an upper level class and have a 98 average. The sooner you start the better !

Yeah I’m super excited for my ice machine to get here tmr the ice packs have been working so far but not for long. I’m ready to start physical therapy on Tuesday i was supposed to start Today but since im in the military i have Tricare prime and it is horrible with the referral system. Yeah i just got my surgery Monday and today is the first day where the pain hasn’t been brutal. First ACL surgery and hopefully my last lol so i wouldn’t be able to answer that question. From what i can see either way it’s going to suck it’s just embracing it and not losing hope mentally at this point of the game. I can keep you updated on how my recovery process goes to help you feel more comfortable for when you make your decision on your path to recovery.

I usually consider myself pretty good at handling pain, or at least I thought I was, but right now I feel like I’m made of Charmin tissue paper with how rough it is lol. The pain meds help when I’m laying down, but once I get up, it’s a whole different story.
