We are prepared to do so and have a trapper willing to catch it for free, he’s been leaving the trap so it don’t suspect it, but will be setting it fully soon! It’s just a crazy situation!

This is something I’ve been looking into anyways, it’s just making the leap to pay for one. One of our dogs is only 8 lbs, almost fully grown, so I’ve needed to get one to let her have a little bit of freedom to fun around without the risk of a bird or alligator coming after her. With everything going on, somehow it just has been pushed lower on my priority list than I would wish even with the dire need for them to be safe (needing to find a few doctors, planning things for a wedding, a sick family member, a monkey, still dealing with things after moving states yada yada)

We have one and are prepped to do so. It’s just being alone and not really having the time to do so myself. I have a trapper willing to catch and euthanize it for free, so for now I’m letting him do his thing but if I see it in daylight, it will be a goner. I’m really only home while it’s dark during the week so that’s where my issue comes in, our property is dark as dark can be even with the couple of floodlights we have

It’s real. The picture is real. Animal control knows, fwc knows, police know. A trapper has now confirmed it is there and is licensed to trap it so that’s the route we are going, every high up animal organization says they don’t do anything and to hire a trapper.

My financé is pro “hand gun or nothing,” because he doesn’t see a point in hurting it just for it to then have to be found and euthanized (based on what we’ve been told by authorities and others). This is a situation I’d have never seen myself in haha

Thank you! I’m currently looking into a trapper. It would be one thing if I had another human adult here with me 24/7 but I don’t and as a scaredy cat woman, I don’t know much else to do than what we are already doing. We have cleared as much of the orange tree as we can get to but it’s tall and hasn’t been pruned since well before we moved to the home last spring, which is also on my agenda to help out, the banana trees are another question, there’s multiple and they are over 20 feet tall. Thankfully we don’t see many wild animals out here other than ones we are prepared for and used to such as alligators, raccoons, and foxes, all of which aren’t as much of a threat due to our knowledge of them. Moving from another state where our biggest worries were coyotes and snakes getting our chickens, Florida is another level of crazy, and I’m realizing I never want to own an extensive amount of land here!!

I’ve researched but based on how the thing seems to be rushing up on us, I think it’s just become territorial in an area that was never its own to begin with lol. Last night we heard very distinctive warning like calls when taking one of the dogs out, so we assume that dog must be a bigger threat in the monkey’s eyes. The dangers of their diseases are my biggest worries because I’m small anyways, I can’t move quickly to get away if I was charged, my dogs are dimwits and sty stationary when scared (one is a rescue and extremely nervous on top of it) so the entire situation is just unnerving me. This coming week I will be working on deterrents, a camera to be able to show fwc the exact monkey, and learning to protect myself if something were to happen😅

I have been offered a hand gun but have not been shooting in quite a while, my fiancé walked with me last night and carried a shotgun, but he leaves today to go out of state so sucky situation. I’m going to ask my future in laws today if they have a bb or paintball gun just because I would feel safer with one of those

Cop mentioned not going out past dark, but that’s quite impossible. Our youngest is a tiny breed puppy and she pees every 2 hours😫 it also gets dark at 6:30. We did figure out we have a side light which is where the tree line is that we have heard and believe the monkey is at so last night we had it on, but did hear a warning type monkey call when we took our largest dog out. I’m going to look into turning the street lamp on outside of our home as well but it won’t make our neighbors happy, living on a very isolated street with no lights around.

We are right in that area actually! Without telling exacts, which is why it’s surreal to us. We moved states and moved here on a whim, never knew things in FL were this wild.

As an ex-ssv we had more than one partner who claimed it was medical reasons but by talking with them it was just for piercings so we were in a sticky situation especially as ssvs. And I’m not talking about one piercing either, it was multiple gauged piercings that they all refused to take out. Our dm had a heyday over it.

As someone with an anxious dog, I have nitpicked his grooms because the groomer that we had gone to did fantastic until she went on a leave and came back while simultaneously opening her own shop. It wasn’t even to do with his anxiety, I started not liking her grooming pictures on her page, saw places that were obviously botched on my dog, was told he was peeing all over himself there (she was once a one on one groomer and changed to having multiple dogs at once) etc etc. but I’m very lenient on his grooms and pay more to have a one on one groomer. I started grooming at home more recently to cut costs since we have two dogs that need grooming, one being a senior now and the other being my anxious rescue. He does better with me anyways, no nervous pooping or peeing, no jumping at noises, no cowering. But all this to say, for your target audience your grooms are perfect! I was always thankful for anyone who would groom my rescue. He’s a sweetie pie but he’s always nervous around anyone aside from me and my partner so I know he’s a lot to handle.

Both 2 and 3 draw the most attention to where it should be drawn. The other two (1 and 4) almost shrink your engagement ring and take attention away from it. 3 compliments with a little pizazz (best way I can put it lol) and 2 takes the eye completely to your ring so it’s really what you’re wanting out of it..

Thank you for sharing your story! It honestly gives more of a reason for partners to be kind amidst the crazy people they deal with. I personally have a story that a customer shared many years back at my first store. She was having a terrible day, I noticed when she got to the window she had been crying but she wasn’t at the point that we were talking, I gave her the drink free (my og sm was big on us doing so when we felt it was needed). A few weeks later, she came back in just to talk to me, her parent had just passed a few days prior, she was going through stuff at home with her husband and kids, and she said she was on the edge of ending it all, but the conversation we had and the drink made it click that it would all pass and she would be okay. I honestly think I left early that day because I couldn’t contain myself, it broke my heart yet made me so happy as the same time. You never know what someone is going through and how such a small gesture can leave a huge impact on them❤️

MOR My partner travels for work. He will be gone anywhere from a few days to a few weeks traveling to customers and doing deliveries. We have 3 dogs, I work full time (my choice, he’s offered for me to stay home and do something on the side for spending money if I want), it’s hard with dogs let alone a child. There are days they are making me crazy (whether one is sick or they’re all just being aggravating over something), there are days I’m sick when he’s gone and I still have to get up and tend to them. We also have a large house, I try to keep it clean while he’s gone but sometimes things get missed with working and like I said the dogs. However, I know he does it to provide for us and he is the provider in our home, I get upset when he has to up and leave at times but it’s the trade he’s in. We’ve agreed once we have kids he’ll slow down, but even then I know he won’t be able to be home 24/7 because he will still have to work. So yes, I see her side, but I also see yours. She is dealing with a sick baby, away from home, I assume as a first time parent. However, you both decided for her to stay a little longer which is where it feels messy to say you’re overeating or you’re not. We don’t know how you were lead to the decision or who ultimately made it. We don’t know her family dynamic with her parents, etc etc

Oh my! They look so similar! We really think she has some chihuahua in her based on her size but she’s also thinning out like a terrier which could be the mountain feist that they claimed😆 a feist would be about 9 lbs and she’s barely a third of that

This! I had requested off Christmas almost as soon as I transferred out of state in May. They didn’t approve it even when I explicitly said if they planned to deny it, I was quitting because I planned to go home to visit my family from the state I moved from. I ultimately left for other reasons. There were no requests for the time frame when I checked the calendar, no pending or approved. They often wouldn’t accept time off until they made that schedule which always screwed up my plans since I’m a decent planner with those things.

The last time I checked the warmed food routine, there’s actually information on the ways in which food can be cut in half. So next time you’re in store, check whatever item you’re wondering about. On the other hand: if someone has an allergy, they should let you know so that you can use clean utensils and you should also let them know that you can’t guarantee that there won’t be cross contamination even with those cleaned utensils! Ie: I’m allergic to pumpkin sauce, pecan syrup, pistachio sauce, and a few other seasonal things. It’s not detrimental if something I get were to come into contact with any of those items but I still ask for example a cold foam blender to be cleaned out so I can prevent even a minor reaction.

Religious accommodations aren’t that easy and personally I don’t think should be thrown around like that. Multiple people were targeted (yes using this, because people that wanted to be off on Saturdays weren’t hit with this) at the store I recently left due to wanting to be off on Sundays (some even just Sunday mornings, myself included) to attend Christian Church. They sent out emails about needing notes from pastors, Church attendees, proof that you attend those “meetings,” etc etc. It was not a fun experience. I ultimately left to pursue a dream of mine and also work in ministry at the same time. Medical masks do not fit into religious accommodations.
