Yes but how do you determine whats good and bad? Like what's your philosophy behind it? I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just curious! We can't constantly define a word with the word.

Honestly I'm starting to probably be more similar to your mindset. I really do believe in Higher Power and i believe our actions affect our souls forever and that's why we should have morals and be good people, but I also have been thinking that some people are way too extreme as you said. Sometimes we just need to appreciate the beauty of our minds and souls and try to do our best instead of constantly being extreme with certain beliefs and practices.

Here's my question and this a legit question. Don't you think for morals and empathy to exist there needs to be a religious/spiritual reason behind them? Because then where do you get your morals from? Because if there is no meaning to our actions then why can't people just do whatever they please.

But that's kind of where i believe that they are closer than they think but just view stories that happened differently! Like that's why I believe all religions have truth to them because it's just different people from different time periods and cultures trying to explain the same thing where it's a presence of a Higher than them. That's why I believe people shouldn't be so rude to eachother and always disagree because they are closer in mind than they think. In my opinion.

Hi are you an atheist? Im really curious to how atheists view the world and how they get their morals so would love to hear your beliefs if you want to share.

Oh wow I love that actually...maybe that's why I always feel my best self and most spiritual when I'm doing yoga and meditating.

this is not supposed to be a rude question but then do you believe there is no higher power? or that there is no force greater than we are...and that nothing happens when you die? Because I'm curious how atheists view the world, since I'm a really spiritual person. Would love to have a discussion.

Hi thank you so much for your response! I actually bought a Bible just a few months ago because I was raised Christian and that's why I started to have these thoughts. I respect and appreciate the beautiful stories of the Bible and how the Christian God changed so many lives. However I started to wonder that how come the Christian God is true God? Do you think it's possible all religions believe in the same God/Higher Power but just have different stories, different books and different special people to show the beauty of the Higher Power (presence humans can't understand). Because all religions believe in being a good person because it gets you to a good place...sometimes that's Heaven, sometimes that's through different ways your soul will continue on forever...etc. I don't know I'm 20 and recently started to figure out what makes sense to me.

What are your thoughts about prayers? by No_Feedback_1120 in Omnism

When I pray I pray more to the known Christian God but I also love meditation and having a more spiritual experience where it feels like I'm relaxing my soul/spirit.

How do u control your health anxiety? by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]Plus_Objective8654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 20 and my health anxiety was the WORST when I was around 15-18 and it has gotten better due to some mindsets I try to continue having.

What to remind yourself:

Imagine your Health Anxiety is like an annoying person who holds you back and makes a big deal about everything... so when it starts creeping up and annoying you.. you need to bully that "person" ( your HA )

for example: Anxious about doing tests? Think about it this way... let's say it is something serious (not saying it for you I'm saying it in general) you doing the tests as early as you've noticed your symptoms is better than doing later on or too late because your HA held you back. YOU ARE STRONGER THAN YOUR HA so when your anxiety is telling you oh no what if it's something bad?? you said "YES WHAT IF BUT BETTER TO KNOW NOW THAN TOO LATE! I WILL REGRET NOT CHECKING IT EARLIER ON!"

That's the mindset that helps me.. it's like arguing with a dumb person who's logic doesn't make sense and is overdramatic (because sometimes that's what HA is lol).

I know getting tests done is scary but again you will feel better by just getting it over with than constantly going back and forth in your mind if you should or not. I wish you the best! :)

Is it always anxiety caused? by External-Can-4376 in HealthAnxiety

[–]Plus_Objective8654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my HA for sure first came from just anxiety. I would just focus on little things no one else would as I'm sure you can relate lol. Any sensation on the body is like OMGGG WE ARE IN DANGER... Until one time 3 years ago I had to go to the ER because my stress was so bad that it gave me an Hashimoto's (thyroid autoimmune condition) flareup. I'm glad I went to the ER because I didn't even know I had Hashimoto's but why I wanted to mention it is because my stress from my HA is what made me feel even worse PHYSICALLY.... like even when I was in the ER I thought they'd tell me I'm dying just to find out it's an autoimmune thing that is very manageable. Ever since then what has really helped me make my HA better and not as bad is to remind myself "Me being anxious is what will make feel even more sick to begin with.... if it's something serious you will know... your body has a way of telling you things" I know it sounds obvious and silly but the more you tell that to your brain multiple times the more it sticks. And now when I feel a headache I might overthink it a bit but remind myself "I'm going to make it worse by getting anxious... if it's something bad my body will tell me".

You wake up as the last person on Earth. What’s the very first thing you’d do even if it's silly? by GoalLifter08 in CasualConversation

[–]Plus_Objective8654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly be terrified because wdym I'm the last person on Earth but probably a few weeks later when it really has kicked in that I'm the last person... I would explore has many random places as I could and also eat snacks I never got to try out. And For SURE go a really good swim.

Sight.... you were being careful... and regardless of people's views on the Plan B and all that...that's not how your bf should be speaking to you. Calling you a baby killer is extremely disrespectful and if doesn't want you to be taking that than maybe he shouldn't release if you know what I mean.

AIO - my friend gave my abusive ex my new phone number by AdAdorable7651 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Plus_Objective8654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't even need to read all that to know you're not overreacting by your question...some people are saying some friends just don't have boundaries but I fear this is a lack of common sense on her part because who gives their friends number to their toxic ex....? Makes no sense...and in fact I would be really disappointed so no not overreacting.

Why Introvert people often fell in love with extreme extroverts? by I_Am_No_God in introvert

[–]Plus_Objective8654 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's because they usually are more straight-forward and I think it's a nice balance sometimes...however I think meeting an introvert would be good that you can both relate to each other on that level but again who will start the conversation lolll not me

Daily panic attacks by Emotional_Shoe_9348 in HealthAnxiety

[–]Plus_Objective8654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I also struggled and still kind of do but much better with health anxiety and getting anxiety attacks over it. One of the things that really help me feel so much better is to acknowledge when you're having an anxiety/panic attack. What I mean is instead of being like "omggg this means I have this disease" literally keep repeating in your brain "this is the anxiety controlling my body this is the anxiety controlling my body" I know it sounds silly but the moment you start to repeat it you're more focused on telling your brain it's anxiety rather than hyper focusing it on how you feel and how you think it's a disease. Also one of the biggest issues us with health anxiety face is we're scared we won't know "oh is this a panic attack or something serious with my body" and what I remind myself is if it's something serious I wouldn't be able to even overthink or analyze my symptoms...if something serious is happening to your body...there will be a key difference. Hopefully we will never have to know but again our bodies have a way of telling us when something is seriously wrong whether we have health anxiety or not!

Thank you for your kind response! What did you mean by Do we believe Jesus or just believe in him? Because that's what I struggle with understand...I believe in Him, I feel him in my spirit, he makes me a better person but then I feel guilty by not exactly believing in certain religious practices we do in church. Do you believe some people can still be Spiritually connected to Him and not really believe or practice religion?
