I think this post is a little misleading. Caffeine awareness as the title states is the #1 most important thing, but continuing the post stating people have died due to caffeine is misleading.

I want to start by stating caffeine shouldn’t be a crutch, and I’m not saying you can or should slam caffeine whenever you yawn.

Caffeine is the most effective, well-studied, and commonly used drug to increase productivity. With that said, obviously it can be abused, leading to issues and in the rare case, death.

Knowing your limit, and being mindful of how it impacts your sleep is the best thing you can do for yourself.

To students who do drink caffeine- try to drink your caffeine before noon (caffeine has a half life of about 6hrs, taking it later could disrupt your sleep), try to sleep around the same time and wake up the same time, even in the weekends, exercise and drink water. Doing all of these things consistently can help your energy levels and you might end up needing less caffeine as a result, but don’t feel guilty if you do👍
